★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love Uprising! It is a place where I can just close my eyes and follow the instructions( excellent instructions) and detached from my daily responsibilities. It is a place where everyone does YOGA(no looking at others, no pushing hard on yourself, no competitions). There is no mirrors. The studio is clean, uses dim light and quiet music. . . There is a vibe that is very welcoming. I am so glad that I got class cards as Christmas gift, I will be a regular student here even my cards end :-)
December 28 · Yuko NishizawaI’ve been practicing at this studio for over a year now & so happy I ended up here! Very clean studio and an awesome community! They have everything you’ll need there so you can just show up.Every instructor I’ve had is so kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. There are a plethora of classes at all hours of the day & various different forms of yoga so there’s something for everyone. They have several 7am weekday classes to start the day right, several great vinyasa classes, & yin/restorative is always a great treat for the body and mind.Achola, the Owner, is a rockstar! The place is in great hands. Not only are her classes high quality but it feels like she’s always looking to improve the studio’s offerings and focuses on what the community is looking for. They always have great specials and deals for new members and existing. Couldn’t recommend this studio more!!!
September 14 · JamesI’m a recent transplant to Philly and wanted to find a local studio for Yoga. I was recommended Uprising Amc by a friend and I love it! My issue with some Yoga studios is that it doesn’t feel comfortable/ some studios come off sterile but Achola does everything to make you feel At home. Not to mention always keep an eye on the class and the needs of the students/ patrons. And she’s a native to Philly and can give great after class recommendations for food! I also love the amenities available to patrons of the studio.( mats, blocks, blankets, stretching ropes etc) If you’re looking for a clean, fun and intimate studio to practice yoga this is the BEST SPOT IN PHILLY. It’s also easily accessible by the subway.
January 04 · efa onyiantaI’ve been practicing yoga for 10 years on and off in several cities, Uprising AMC is by far the most welcoming studio I have ever been to. Their schedule of classes is very flexible and all the instructors are wonderful! Uprising has also made safety a top priority during COVID, I feel comfortable taking off my mask during class because this studio is like a community. And located on East Passyunk, it’s so easy to grab a quick smoothie after class!!
January 04 · Jamez Amour BashToday was my first class here and I will definitely be back! Renée is truly amazing. A breath of fresh air, she has such a calming voice and helps ground you in every way. Such an amazing class.
