When considering a gym in the Sidney, Ohio, area, Total Fitness offers a proposition that is worth evaluating based on your personal needs. The gym’s primary strength lies in its specialized services, particularly its one-on-one personal training and nutrition consulting. For individuals who are serious about a tailored approach to weight loss and fitness, the professional guidance and personalized programs can be a significant advantage. The commitment to a membership-based model ensures that the gym is serving a dedicated clientele, which can foster a sense of community for those who are regulars. The accessible location and features, such as wheelchair-accessible parking and entrances, are also a positive aspect that makes the facility a more inclusive option for the community. However, it is also important to consider the feedback from existing customers. The most prominent and concerning issue raised in reviews is the lack of proper climate control, with reports of the gym being uncomfortably hot and humid. This can significantly impact the quality of a workout and may be a deal-breaker for those who prefer a more temperate environment. Additionally, there have been complaints regarding the cleanliness of the men's restroom and issues with the membership billing process, including concerns about auto-pay policies. These operational and maintenance issues, as described by some customers, should be carefully considered. It is recommended that potential members visit the facility in person to assess the environment, including the temperature, and to have a clear and detailed conversation about all membership fees and policies before signing up. While Total Fitness has the potential to be a great gym due to its service offerings, the external factors mentioned in customer reviews are important to weigh against your personal preferences for a workout environment and business practices. For those who prioritize a strong personal training program and are willing to overlook potential environmental shortcomings, Total Fitness could be a suitable choice for their fitness journey in Ohio.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Gym is always 80 degrees or hotter. No im not exaggerating you can look at the thermostat and see. I see people come in all the time start the workout and leave right after saying it’s too hot. So hot the floor and machines are damp and it’s so humid in there. 2 small fans in the whole gym that just blow around hot air. Light in the tanning bed room is broken and takes 5+ minutes most the time to fully light up. Go in to get a get workout and after 1 exercise your dripping sweat to the point you don’t wanna continue. Can’t even g eh a good workout in unless it’s below 65° outside. Would be a good gym if it had air conditioning. Nobody wants to walk in and sweat before they even do anything. When it first became total fitness it was good but over the years this problem has gotten worse. Like no lie I walked in the last couple days and the floor is wet/slippery and the machines are all damp from how humid it is. All anyone in the gym does is complain about the temperature. Sometimes they leave the front and back door open but that doesn’t help it just lets more outside hot air in. Also the Mens bathroom is disgusting. 90% of the time there’s toilet paper everywhere on the ground. Junk on the walls. Trash can overflowing onto the ground. Toilet full of stains. Just gross.
July 26 · JackDo NOT setup autopay with them. If your balance drops and it's returned, they will keep trying to bill you multiple times a day every few days! By the time you get it to stop, you will have hundreds of dollars in fees and they will also say you owe them extra fees!
June 25 · Dan SaundersI love total fitness. Everyone has been super friendly and helpful. The tanning is a huge plus for me and the price is very affordable. 10/10 recommend!
March 19 · Cory ShrewsburyWould definitely not recommend this gym went there the first time to set up to join no one was there. Then 10 minutes later we decided to call the one in piqua to see what's going on why isn't anyone there to help us then the guy says he will have someone there to help us umm well we can't come we have stuff we have to get done. Then we text this number and was supposed to be scheduled for today Tuesday November 26th still haven't gotten anything would definitely not recommend this gym they don't have their shit together.
November 26 · Kaden PhillipsPray to god you don't get a new phone number one of their members used to have. Guy isn't paying his bill and they do nothing but constantly harass me and call/text me. I have asked them to quit multiple times yet they continue to do so. Tells me this is one of those gyms that trap you with a contract and harass you like its rent a center. Stay away.
