These virtual sessions maintain the high quality of instruction found in the studio.
Yoga Studio: The core of the business is its in-person yoga classes. The studio provides a calm and unique environment for practice, with a variety of styles to suit different needs and skill levels. Their classes are praised for being genuinely restorative and deeply nourishing.

Choosing a yoga studio is a personal decision, and The Mindful Body presents a compelling case for itself through its commitment to quality, community, and comprehensive wellness. Customer reviews consistently praise the studio for its restorative yoga classes, which are described as “truly deeply nourishing passive poses.” This is a significant differentiator, as many places may claim to offer restorative yoga but fall short of delivering a truly effective experience. The genuine quality of the classes is a primary reason why many clients keep coming back.
Furthermore, the studio’s dual offering of yoga and professional massage therapy under one roof provides a unique and valuable service. One reviewer highlighted the “fantastic spot to get an affordable massage,” emphasizing the high qualifications of the staff and the quality of the deep tissue massages. This combination of mind-body practices makes The Mindful Body a holistic wellness hub, a place where you can not only stretch and strengthen your body but also receive expert care for deep muscle relaxation and stress relief. The studio is noted for being a great place to "relax for 60-90 minutes," offering a quiet retreat from the daily grind. This fusion of services, professional staff, and a truly mindful environment makes The Mindful Body a top choice for anyone in the Bay Area looking for a place to enhance their physical and mental well-being.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is a great Yoga Studio. The bathroom is spacious and easy to change in, with a special filtered water spout. The interior is unique compared to other studios I've been too. The restorative yoga classes are amazing! Truly deeply nourishing passive poses all the way through. Some other places boast restorative classes but they just aren't so.
August 23 · Karisma RodriguezFantastic spot to get an affordable massage. I always get a deep tissue and have not been disappointmented. The staff here are highly qualified. They also have a yoga studio. It's not a spa but it's a nice place to relax for 60-90 minutes.
November 15 · Yvette NgoI first discovered Mindful Body as a wonderful place for massage. It was only during my pregnancy that I found it to also be a great place for yoga and community. The prenatal and postnatal classes are wonderful and led me to a great community of fellow mamas.
April 05 · Maria Chambers HutchinsBest yoga studio in SF. Have been practicing there for over 20 years. Unpretentious and authentic. High-quality teachers, outstanding massages and superb community. Excellent mysore and teacher training programs.
November 11 · Larissa AcostaI've been going here since 2012 for yoga, so even though a couple of my favorite teachers have left, I found replacement teachers to still love here.I first came here to deepen my yoga practice after getting exposed to classes at the Y. I will admit I freaked out at my first class - some chanting in the beginning, and I could hear my neighbors all breathe! So I learned more things, like proper breathing and sanskrit, but it was all in a comfortable setting, small class size (4-12), and approachable teachers that happily talk to you after class. The teachers here are heavily alignment focused and give constant verbal cues to help you. A benefit of smaller classes is more opportunity for adjustments. The impact ranged from widening my perspective on what my body could do or bringing me back into a modification that was better and safer for my tight body that day. I particularly like the Forrest-inspired classes, which to me is a good stepping stone between the popular vinyasa flow classes and the slower paced with longer holds Hatha classes. Some studios offer cheaper memberships or groupon specials, but the 20 class card (good for a year) makes the per class rate comparable. It's best to bring your own mat - the ones to borrow are thin. The studio isn't as shiny as others in the area, but I keep coming back here for the teachers for their verbal cues and physical adjustments. As for community, everyone there is nice and welcoming - I've had conversations after class with other participants on how much we liked that class or found the teacher's voice nurturing, for instance.Lastly, the massage rates are more reasonable than spas. I've done a few deep tissue massages, and the therapists listened to me on where my chronic pain areas were and helped me loosen up.
