★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Jim really knows body mechanics. I have lower back problems and my Physio recommended that I see a personal trainer to get whole body exercise since, as we all know, the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone...Jim demonstrates and explains clearly the exercises he recommends and why he recommends them. Each week is a bit different so that over time I have built up a repertoire I can do at home without getting bored. My back is steadily improving now that I am gaining the muscle strength to hold my spine in place.
May 29 · Mary WilsonMy husband, Randy has been on a long road to recovery after suffering complete paralysis due to an autoimmune neurologic illness three years ago. For the past year, Jim has been working with Randy weekly on strength and balance, providing him with a program that is individualized to his unique needs. Jim's extensive knowledge of neurophysiology is obvious in the design of his program. Best of all, Jim is a great guy - fun and energetic.
April 23 · Catherine BartlettIt has been life-changing working with Jim. In a relatively short amount of time, I can already feel the benefits in every activity that I do. I’ve really appreciated each session for the variety of exercises that Jim devises for me. His dynamic, multi-modal approach is brilliant in its applicability to the myriad situations we encounter in daily living. Jim is thoughtful, creative, and perceptive. I look forward to our sessions because it is a lot of fun for me, and I always feel good during and afterwards. He provides really high-quality training in a safe environment. He is very knowledgeable and I always come away having learned something from him. I can’t recommend him enough!
February 04 · Grace ChangDid several 1 on 1 training and movement consultations with Jim to help plan my next chapters, and I could not be happier! I’m a former athlete looking to focus more on functional movement, balance, and mobility and Jim had so many great suggestions and movements to help me reframe my workouts. It was exciting to learn about movements and principles that were new but also friendly for any experience level or body type. Jim is an excellent listener and I felt comfortable working and learning with him. Highly recommend for anyone of any age!
October 18 · Blake SpitzJim's interest in all aspects of longevity is really helpful - from the science of aging to the importance of sleep, nutrition and balance as you age, Jim's knowledge is encyclopedic. I have also been seeing him as a trainer for over a year. Each time he varies the activities so we are always doing something new. He also customizes the session to whatever muscle or body part is bothering me that day or week. I recommend Jim at The Long Game wholeheartedly.
