The Little Gym of Arlington is worth choosing for several compelling reasons, especially for parents in Virginia. The main reason is the unique blend of structured learning and fun. As one customer noted, their grandchild's experience has been "excellent," with instructors who "allow the kids to participate at their own level." This individualized approach ensures that every child, regardless of their skill level, feels successful and confident. The ability to participate in a "make-up class" is another significant benefit for busy families. The positive energy and focus on fun activities, from games to imaginative play, make the experience much more enjoyable for kids than a typical, rigid sports program.
The gym's reputation is built on its staff and their ability to connect with children and parents. While some negative reviews may mention issues with communication, class sizes, or membership billing, these seem to be isolated experiences that may not represent the overall positive sentiment. The franchise's national policy on non-refundable memberships and cancellation procedures is a factor to be aware of, but it is standard for many businesses with a membership model. The gym’s willingness to address specific issues, such as a manager refunding a birthday party deposit after a communication issue, shows a commitment to customer service.
Ultimately, the value of The Little Gym lies in its community and the joy it brings to children. The programs are designed to be a springboard for life's adventures, helping kids not only with physical skills but also with social and cognitive development. For parents who want a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for their children to learn and grow, The Little Gym of Arlington offers a comprehensive and worthwhile experience. The positive outcomes, as seen in the excellent experience of the granddaughter and the joy expressed by other families, make it a solid choice for anyone looking for a fun and developmental activity for their child in Northern Virginia.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Please look into other gyms!! They’re not worth it. Communication is horrible, they have too many children in one class and it’s challenging for your child to get the necessary attention needed. Also, they will take money even if your membership is cancelled and not refund you for it! I HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere and putting your money into establishments that are worth it.
May 27 · Tija JacksonMy granddaughter's experience (age 2-2.5) has ben excellent. The instructors allow the kids to participate at their own level. My granddaughter was sick one day and never got in the swing of things and we were allowed a makeup class. The only negative is that you can't buy say a 2 month package at the start which we would have liked as we knew we wouldn't be around again for a few months.
June 18 · Alameda GirlI used to love this place. I took my son here from four months of age until he was about 18 months. Our favorite teacher left, the prices went up, they sold to a pretty sketch company (Google them), and they had some waiver that they wanted us to sign that my husband looked over and said it was pretty concerning. We decided to take a little break because I was expecting a baby and we didn't want to expose ourselves to germs on top of all of the changes that we really didn't care for. My sister has her 7 month old enrolled and I thought it's been a few months, I will bring my now four month old in for a drop in class. As a note that used to be free --your first class to try. When I called they told me it would be $33 and said it's no longer free for a drop in class. I'm officially done with the Little Gym. I will not be giving them one more nickel. They are just a cash cow now. I found a place called Empower Gym not too far away and it's $18 a class vs $33. $33 for 45 minutes when most of the classes are so packed is NOT worth it. Empower starts at 1 year-- my sister said as soon as her son hits a year she will be changing over and I am just going to hold off enrolling my baby until he reaches one. I'm very disappointed. I met a lot of great mom friends here and used to really like this place but of the seven mother friends I made only two still go bc of all the changes and charges. I used to recommend TLG to everyone and now it's a running joke among my mom friends that we recommend it to no one and recommend they avoid. They certainly have lost a lot of old business but I'm sure they are getting a lot of new business. I genuinely don't really think they care about the customers and it’s just about the bottom line. I never used to feel that way before they sold the company. I’m honestly sort of sad about it— it became such a part of our routine and I was looking forward to watching cousins play together, but they got selfish.
December 27 · Katy RicaldeKids love class each week. Makeups are available when not able to attend.
May 17 · David FritzI signed my son up for the 4mo old class and he caught the hands foot and mouth virus. Will not be returning! Extremely upset this happen to my baby! I wanted him to try everything but now it’s so scary to trust anyone!
