★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you’ve ever felt out of place at a gym but want to find your place, run to SWEAT DC. It’s inclusive, encouraging, and full of folks who show up for each other, no matter your body type, background, or starting point.I’ve been going for over six years and have tried everything from OrangeTheory to Barry’s and everything in between, but SWEAT is different. The workouts push you, the team is incredible, and the vibes are always on point. You’ll never feel judged, only welcomed. And honestly, it’s been amazing to watch the business grow. The hustle, the heart, the community they’ve built is something special. They deserve your support, and you deserve to feel stronger and more confident. Try it. You won’t regret it.
July 13 · Ben AdamsI actually was a coach at the first Sweat DC location during Covid. What drew me to Sweat was their owners/founders, Coach G and Chase. We shared similar views on fitness and health and they are just good dudes to be around. As someone who has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years, they had a rigorous training program for coaches and put a lot to time into program design and development for trainees. This includes discussing alternative version of each movement in the workouts depending on potential limitations or making it more difficult and challenging for more advanced trainees. I can say with confidence you will be in good hands at Sweat DC!
June 19 · dan grazI love coming to Sweat! I've tried a lot of work out classes from CrossFit to boxing, but I have definitely become my strongest with the programming at Sweat. I love that the workouts are short but effective. I used to wander around the big box gyms for hours and didn't see results. The coaches are all unique, professional and bring so much to the table. Starlight helps push me but makes sure my form is perfect, Kay is always dropping inspiration and is motivational to be your best in and outside the gym, Tamar always has a great playlist going and a smile on, and Vic is such a hype woman. I've also made some new friends since joining!
April 17 · Stephanie WesterYou will get a great, functional workout here that will serve all of your health and fitness goals! The classes are small, fast paced (in a good way), and the coaches make it around to help everybody individually. They have plenty of plates, dumbbells and other equipment to choose from, which allows everybody to work hard - from beginners to seasoned weightlifters/athletes. The coaches and other members are really supportive and kind. Just go!
May 15 · Laura VIt's a great workout and vibe. I do drop in classes every now and then because it's close and it's sorta my club alternative since quitting drinking. However, it's not a gym that I could ever become a member of, and quality of instruction sometimes varies greatly by trainer. I've done pretty common mods (e.g. foot on floor not bench when we were supposed to do bulgarians because I was having trouble with my ankle) and was pressured/ questioned a lot by certain coaches. I've also gotten lectured for showing up 30s late to class because the train was late. Literally took up the entire warm up shaming me that I was going to miss the warm up for coming late, when I would have been fine otherwise. The program itself is great. Most of the coaches are great. The main things that keeps me from becoming a member is 1) pricing structure, and 2) inability to play sports and hit both an upper and lower day. 1) the lower tier of membership prevents you from going to an upper, lower, and full body day, so the only option if you'd want to do all 3 each week is unlimited, and unlimited is prohibitively expensive. 2) If you play any sport or really just have regular after work obligations, you'll probably never be able to do either an upper or lower day, because their splits are by day. Which is great if this is the only thing you do for a workout, or can squeeze it in in the morning, but otherwise it doesn't work out too well.
