Located at 50 63rd St, this unique fitness center provides a tailored approach to improving range of motion, reducing muscle tightness, and enhancing overall physical well-being. For residents of Illinois, especially those in the western suburbs like Willowbrook and Hinsdale, StretchLab offers a valuable service that complements any existing fitness routine and can even serve as a primary form of therapy, as a neurologist-recommended review attests.
The concept of a dedicated stretching studio might be new to some, but its benefits are undeniable. Assisted stretching, performed by a trained professional known as a Flexologist, allows for a deeper and more effective stretch than one can achieve alone. It is a powerful tool for athletic recovery, injury prevention, and simply improving the quality of daily life by alleviating common aches and pains from things like a sedentary desk job or an intense workout schedule. The customer reviews for the Willowbrook location highlight the effectiveness of these sessions, with one member praising their Flexologist, Brenda, for her understanding of physical limitations and her ability to improve flexibility over time.

While the provided information lists "Personal training" and "Weight Lifting," the core service of StretchLab is assisted stretching. It is a highly specialized form of personal training focused on flexibility and mobility, rather than strength training with weights.
- One-on-One Assisted Stretching:
This is the primary service offered. Clients work directly with a highly-trained Flexologist in personalized sessions. These sessions can range from a 25-minute stretch that focuses on major muscle groups to a comprehensive 50-minute full-body stretch. The sessions are customized to meet individual needs, such as a client's specific physical limitations or health goals. - Personalized Stretch Plans:
As highlighted in a customer review, the Flexologists develop a personalized stretch plan for each client. This tailored approach ensures that the sessions are effective and directly address the client’s unique needs, whether for health issues, athletic performance, or general flexibility. - Injury and Pain Management:
StretchLab's services are often recommended by medical professionals like neurologists as a form of therapy to help with muscle tightness, joint pain, and other physical discomforts. This specialized service makes it a form of health care as much as it is a fitness center. - Weight Lifting and Personal Training:
While the studio's focus is stretching, its services can be seen as a form of personal training where the goal is flexibility and mobility rather than traditional strength. For individuals who engage in weight lifting or other high-intensity workouts, the assisted stretching services can be a critical component of their training regimen, helping to prevent injury and improve performance.
StretchLab - Willowbrook is defined by its professional and supportive environment, with a few key features that stand out.
- Expert and Caring Staff:
Customer reviews consistently praise the staff, from the Flexologists like Brenda to the manager Pam. The staff is described as "friendly," "uplifting," and "top-notch," creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes sessions enjoyable. - Personalized Approach:
The most significant highlight is the tailored nature of the service. Flexologists customize each session to the client's specific needs and goals, which is a rare level of personalization in the fitness industry. - Professional and Clean Environment:
While not explicitly mentioned, the nature of the business as a wellness and therapy center suggests a clean and well-maintained environment, which is crucial for a comfortable and safe experience. - Focus on Holistic Health:
StretchLab's services are often seen as a form of therapeutic health, as noted in a review. This focus on long-term wellness and addressing health issues, rather than just aesthetics, is a major highlight. - Onsite Amenities:
The availability of a restroom is a basic but essential amenity that contributes to a comfortable experience for all patrons.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Stretch Lab Willowbrook has been excellent therapy for health issues I experience. Recommended by my Neurologist. Brenda Makaras is my go to stretch tech. She really understands my physical limitations and she has developed a stretch plan that improves my flexibility. Have seen her for almost a year treatments really help. Also shout out to manager Pam who is always friendly and on top of making sure I get treatments scheduled. I look forward to my Tuesday treatments and the morning staff including fellow stretch tech Sarika make it a lot of fun while I’m there. It’s a really uplifting part of my day!!! All good people here! God bless them all.
July 05 · Tim O'ReillyGreat stretch always. Brenda is a top notch stretchologist who is always great to talk with during the stretch. Pam does a super job dealing with billing and scheduling and is one heck of a DJ, creating a great vibe with music. I can’t wait to go back again! Great value!
May 08 · Mark MandichI could NOT ask for a better team of experts to work with. They truly care for you as if you are family. Brenda has helped me to not only improve my flexibility ten fold but also ensure I don’t get hurt during workouts and doing day to day activities. Every visit gives me energy both physically and mentally. I don’t know what I did before I found this dream team!
March 17 · Julie VlahosStretchLab has been wonderful to me over the past 4 months and even better now with Brenda. You should try as many as flexologists until you find your person. It’s great to be pain-free and wake up happy daily.Thank you to Jay, the owner and staff, especially Pam as she continues to make me feel special. However,🤔there is some weird pounding come from the back though… Trick or treaters 👻?! Kinda early?!
October 17 · Thrive RandyThe Willowbrook place is fantastic! I usually see Julia who is really great. She makes my stretch experience feel like I’m out for a coffee with a good friend. We always seem to have so much to chat about as she works her magic on my body and by the end I walk away feeling a lot less stiff than I normally do. And she always gives extra attention to the areas of most concern.
