It’s a place where you can come as you are and leave feeling centered, refreshed, and a little bit more like yourself.
SOUK Yoga Studio was founded on a vision of creating connection. The name itself, "SOUK," which means "marketplace" in Arabic, reflects the owners' goal of bringing people together to share in the practice of yoga. This concept goes beyond just physical postures; it's about building a community where storytelling, music, and the simple act of sweating together create a powerful collective energy. The studio's commitment to this philosophy is palpable from the moment you step inside. You'll find a space that feels both grounded and vibrant, where teachers and staff are known for being warm, welcoming, and absolutely amazing. This dedication to fostering a positive and supportive environment is a key reason why so many students consider SOUK their "yoga home" in the city.
The studio's approach to yoga is both authentic and accessible. It draws from established lineages like Jivamukti, Ashtanga, and Iyengar, ensuring that practitioners of all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned yogis, can find a class that challenges and nurtures them. The teachers, led by owner Rima Rabbath, are deeply knowledgeable and passionate, guiding students with a blend of ancient wisdom, precise alignment cues, and a modern sensibility that resonates with the times we live in. Whether you're practicing in person or from the comfort of your home with their online classes, the quality of instruction and the sense of community remain consistently high. For those in New York seeking a profound practice that goes beyond the physical, SOUK is a destination worth exploring.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Souk is truly my sanctuary in the middle of NYC. The teachers and staff are warm, welcoming, and absolutely amazing. Every time I step into the space, I feel the calming, grounding vibe—it’s totally my aesthetic. After every class, I leave feeling centered, refreshed, and transformed. Couldn’t ask for a better yoga home.
June 11 · Evelyn LuI am in love with this studio! Well, I'm in love with a teacher - Rima - who happens to be the owner (I'm new. I'm sure there are other teachers to love). I practice from home and you have to be pretty darn engaging to keep me coming back for more. This is the place. This is my new "home"...
August 02 · Lonni TannerI have been a devoted member to Souk. It was recommended by two yogi friends from Hong Kong. There is something very special about that yoga studio. The teachers are all spectacular with huge passion for yoga practice. They also have amazing guest teachers come in as well. The workshops are well run. The studio is airy, beautiful and zen. Rima, one of the owners, is like a mother to everyone. It’s a family and community for those who love yoga practice and spirituality. I would recommend this studio to anyone.
June 30 · Victoria CoeSouk Yoga is hands down one of my favorite studios to practice in. I’ve been teaching yoga since 2009 and have practiced in studios all over the U.S. and internationally, and Souk stands out in every way. The space is gorgeous—modern with a true yogic feel, always immaculate, and the practice rooms are spacious and inviting. But what really makes Souk special is the community. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warmth that makes you feel instantly at home. The teachers come from a variety of lineages and backgrounds, and every single one I’ve taken class with has been incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and well-trained—not just in yoga, but in the deeper aspects of the practice. Some of my favorite teachers here are Rima, Monica, Shanna, Jessica, and Francesca, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any class. Whether you’re looking for a strong, dynamic flow or something slower and more meditative, Souk offers a truly high-quality yoga experience in a space that just feels like coming home.
March 06 · Nina HayesI walked out of the studio after 5 minutes. Instructors actively promote explicit political views that do not belong in a spiritual setting. I felt out of place as a hot yoga practitioner.I attended a session at 3pm on Saturday with Maria. She opened up the session with “Calling your representative makes a difference”, “Lattes in Manhattan cost $7 so give that cash to immigrants in need”, “It’s time fire Pete Hegseth”. It’s appalling to have such political indoctrination in a yoga studio.I was the only guy in a room of 10-15 women. Society is aware of red pill men communities but I felt SOUK studio in Manhattan is a radical liberal echo-chamber for women. To be clear, I’m sure that not every attendee shared Maria’s liberal view or founded it acceptable to have her expand them at the opening of the session. That said, the instructor is placed in a position of authority during the session to supposedly share wisdom and insights.I felt isolated and out of place. Never thought I would feel so at a well-reviewed yoga studio. Studio manager was receptive and professional when she refunded my session.
