Sol Space Introduce
In the heart of Chicago, Illinois, a new kind of community hub has emerged, one where wellness, creativity, and connection come together. Sol Space is more than a yoga studio; it's a multi-faceted center founded by two local moms, Jackie and Georgina, who are on a mission to build businesses that help their community grow and connect with each other. This vibrant space is an inviting sanctuary where everyone, from busy parents to curious beginners, can find a class or service that fits their life. It's designed to be a simple, creative, and inviting atmosphere where you can feel refreshed, energized, and part of a supportive family.
The unique strength of Sol Space lies in its comprehensive approach to well-being. By partnering with the neighboring Sunny Village Cafe, the owners have created a holistic experience, particularly for families. One member happily noted a combo family membership that includes unlimited yoga classes for both the parent and their two toddlers, plus unlimited playtime at the cafe. This innovative model demonstrates the owners' deep understanding of the needs of their community. The instructors, including Elita, Joy, Jackie, and Margaret, are all praised for their unique styles and ability to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable, regardless of their prior yoga experience. From high-intensity flows to restorative poses, there's a class for every mood and need.
What truly sets Sol Space apart is its commitment to inclusivity and personal growth. The classes are intentionally kept small, which is a significant advantage for those who are new to yoga, as it allows for more one-on-one input from instructors. This personalized attention ensures that you can build a strong foundation and get expert guidance on your form. The studio’s atmosphere is consistently described as a perfect balance of intensity and calm. Whether you're looking for a challenging workout that leaves you "dripping sweat" or a serene class with a beautiful music selection and a cool lavender-scented towel at the end, Sol Space delivers.
Sol Space is conveniently located at 5922 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60630, USA, in the Jefferson Park neighborhood, which local businesses are calling the "Jeff West" corridor. This location makes it easily accessible for residents of Chicago and the surrounding Illinois area. The studio is particularly commuter-friendly, with on-site parking, a free parking lot, and free street parking available. This eliminates the stress of finding a spot and allows you to focus entirely on your wellness practice.
The studio is committed to accessibility, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom, and seating. This inclusive design ensures that everyone in the community, regardless of mobility needs, can comfortably access the studio and its services. The availability of outdoor services also provides an opportunity to enjoy classes in the fresh air when the weather permits, adding another layer of flexibility and enjoyment to the offerings.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have the combo multiple child family membership with Sol Space/Sunny Village Cafe. It offers unlimited yoga classes for me and my two toddlers + unlimited playtime at the sunny village cafe. It’s only been a couple weeks of yoga classes and I am beyond happy with my experience here.I’m new to yoga and all the instructors made me feel welcomed and comfortable.Elita’s classes have great flow and a balanced combination of higher intensity poses and more relaxed ones. Joy’s classes on Sunday I look forward to because typically she has us focus on restorative poses and is great way to end the work week (especially as a stay at home mom to two toddlers).Jackie’s Monday night flow started off so calming with a beautiful music selection, relaxing poses, intense hip/quad/leg stretches, and a quiet dark atmosphere at the end where they always offer a cold damp lavender scented towel that just is the cherry on top of each class. This morning I went to Margaret’s 6AM class and OMG I was dripping sweat. This was an amazing workout, everything from the music selection, intensity duration, her voice and presence, the pose choices and flow/transitions. I felt energized yet so calm after; It was nothing like I’ve ever done before. I enjoyed thoroughly and I will definitely be coming to all of her 6AM classes. Perfect time for anyone who wants to wake-up and get a good workout in before the kids wake up for the day. Seriously shout out to Margaret because that was so good, thank you!!The space itself is so simple, creative and inviting. The classes right now since they just opened are smaller which is great if you are newer to yoga and can get more one on one input from the instructors. But I’m looking forward to connecting with more people as this studio grows. Great job to the two owners Jackie and Georgina who are two moms on a mission to building businesses for the community that help us grow and connect with each other. Our family is very happy with our membership!
August 19 · Devin PokrakaI'm so glad this place opened up in my neighborhood! Jackie is super kind, knowledgable, and meets you where you are (speaking as someone who was completely new to yoga a few months ago). The space itself is clean and inviting. I always feel really refreshed and energized after a class.
August 27 · Erin C.Omgggg this is my first ever yoga class and I’m so happy with my experience. Margaret is SO cool and she has a very positive and calming energy. It was super engaging and welcoming for a new comer like me. I took a 6am class today and LOVED it.It was just me and one other person including Margaret and I can’t wait to keep coming back. She’s really kind with corrections and I think that’s really important. It’s very meaningful to me when someone is able to do so gently, it motivates me more and makes me want to keep coming back. The space is cozy and has good vibes, i liked doing the yoga with the lights off! You can still see but it helps me connect with my mind and body. I also was sweating like crazy, like DRENCHED but it felt great!I will def keep coming back to this studio!!! I’m so glad it’s here 🥰 Margaret is an incredible person and this 6am class really works for me !
August 19 · Elisa BenitezDefinitely try Dance Flow class in there! My inner child were happy with that movement and meditation in the end ❤️🎈
August 22 · Valeriia FilonenkoI did my first yoga class with Jackie here and it was wonderful. Her community class was gentle but challenging for a beginner like myself. The space is small but perfect for a class to not feel too imposing. I also love the cold bergamot lavender towels!
