The studio’s name is a promise, and its delivery is a testament to its commitment to creating a sacred space. A key aspect that makes this studio so valuable is its personal and intimate environment. As one happy customer noted, the studio is "super sweet" and an "oasis of peace and tranquility." This stands in stark contrast to larger, more commercial fitness centers, where the focus is often on high volume and impersonal classes. At Sanctuary Yoga & Wellness, the small class sizes and dedicated instructors ensure that you receive personal attention and guidance, which is crucial for a safe and effective practice. The expertise of the teachers, particularly owner Sharon, who is described as "the real deal," is a major draw. Their thoughtful delivery and ability to create a "safe space to travel inward" goes beyond mere physical instruction; it fosters a genuine mind-body connection that is often missing elsewhere.
Furthermore, the studio’s commitment to inclusivity is a powerful reason for choosing it. The fact that it is an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space means that it actively fosters an environment of acceptance and respect, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and comfortable. This is an essential consideration for many people looking for a place to practice and heal without judgment. The holistic range of services is another significant advantage. It’s not just about yoga poses; it’s about a comprehensive approach to well-being. This makes the studio a one-stop destination for those interested in a full-spectrum wellness journey. The location itself, right in the heart of downtown Exeter, yet tucked away on the serene river side, makes every visit feel like a peaceful retreat from the world. The availability of free parking, both on the street and in nearby lots, removes a common point of stress for urban-based studios. Ultimately, Sanctuary Yoga & Wellness is worth choosing because it provides a supportive community and a tranquil environment where you can truly find peace, healing, and a deeper connection to yourself. It's a space where the investment in your health is met with expertise, compassion, and a genuine commitment to your well-being, making it a beloved haven for the New Hampshire community.

I attended Sharon's gentle yoga flow class and was so impressed with her expertise and thoughtful delivery as she guided the class through the poses. She speaks not only to physical movement, but creates a safe space to travel inward. The actual studio is lovely and welcoming - as are the instructors. It is truly a mind-body experience. March 27 · Pamela SawyerWhat an amazingly tranquil experience! I took Sharon‘s Slow Flow & Meditation class and it was perfect for my mind and body. I enjoyed the simple moves that left my body feeling stretched and at rest. My mind definitely slowed down and left the business of my day to day activities behind. Between Sharon’s soothing voice and the beautiful atmosphere and view, this was easily one of the most enjoyable yoga classes I’ve taken.
April 01 · Alison LewandowskiSharon is an amazing teacher and I love her restorative class. I always look forward to seeing her and feel great after. The studio is beautiful with water views. A great addition to Exeter!
