★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We love belonging to this facility. There are so many things to take advantage of from the fitness classes to the pool facility to the walking track (extra helpful during this particularly snowy winter), and the swim lessons for my child. It’s clean, and I’ve gotten to meet so many wonderful people here.
March 24 · Jennifer HernandezI used to love the y and it is a great place to play basketball for me and my friends. Though recently me and my buddies have been driving all the way to the y after checking and seeing the courts are both open on the schedule only to arrive and see both courts have been fully taken by daycare, group exercises, and more. I get it if the daycare needs to come inside on a rainy day but most days it’s dry and sunny when it happens. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the schedule or if the management has no care for people’s need and only care about money. Also YMCA stands for Young Men’s Christian Acadamy. Nothing against people of the older age but it feels as if this organization is focusing all there attention and activities for the old people which is taking away the young men’s opportunities. If you just focus on the older ages you may as well call it the OMCA. This message isn’t ment to be harmful in any way just a reminder that there are young kids like me who just want to go out and play basketball and sometimes get held back from that.-Danny
July 09 · Daniel KearneyMy main complaint with the place is the hours. I often work til 7, as do many people. Let's say I get there at 7:30, a fairly normal time. The first thing I like to do is relax in the whirlpool, then alternate between the pool, steamroom and sauna. I don't like to be in a hurry. By the time I'm done in there it's after 9 pm, sometimes 9:30, when they rudely blow a whistle, which means leave. If I'm lucky there is time to do 10 minutes of cardio and shower, before they promptly kick everyone out of the building at 10pm. I am just beginning to feel warmed up enough to begin strength training, and they are closing, negating my chance to work out. Sorry but but 10pm is just ridiculously early. I don't think a weight room should close at all, but if you're gonna close, at least stay open til 11 or 12 for the people who work. Their weekend hours are much worse, which is when people really have time to work out.
May 04 · Igloo JackI tried coming in the last half hour to grab something i left earlier in the day, and when i tried entering the door, it was already locked around 9:30-40 when they say they close at 10. I was rudely greeted at the door and one of the receptionist told us we could go grab it and we started walking down to one of the courts to grab her purse and then a manager came down and he blatantly called us rude and disrespectful and he said we walked right past the lady that let us in and also accused us for “ignoring” her. If this place isn’t letting people in around 9:30 then state so and kick people out around 9:30 because in the end everybody has to leave anyway. this was extremely uncalled for and not customer friendly. 😐
