Services Offered
Rose City Fitness specializes in small-group training to ensure a highly individualized and effective experience. The class structure is built around core Pilates principles but extends into athletic, functional training for a well-rounded fitness regimen.
- Full Body Fusion: An all-levels signature class that creatively incorporates Pilates principles and fundamentals with a fusion of apparatuses, including the Reformer and TRX. This class introduces the versatility of the equipment and offers optional challenges for leveling up the intensity.
- Form Classes: Designed as the essential starting point for all new students, this all-levels, full-body class focuses on the fundamental contemporary Pilates repertoire. Emphasis is placed on proper form, function, breath, and increasing overall body awareness. It serves as a prerequisite for more advanced offerings.
- Dynamic Fusion: A progressive class that utilizes the fundamental Pilates principles on both the mat and the Reformer. This strategic contrast helps to challenge muscle memory and is considered a key class for mastering exercises across different apparatuses.
- Progressions: An advanced class focusing on the progression of foundational movements, incorporating balance challenges, quick transitions, and various apparatuses. This class requires instructor approval for attendance, ensuring a strong base of foundational knowledge.
- Jumpboard Classes: A high-intensity, low-impact class incorporating cardio done while lying down, utilizing the Jumpboard apparatus. It requires core engagement and a solid understanding of the foundational movements.
- Virtual Mat Classes: Live-streamed virtual classes that fuse the principles of mat Pilates with functional strength training, allowing Oregon users to maintain their practice from home. Equipment utilized may include mats, hand weights, and floor gliders.
- Private and Semi-Private Sessions: Individualized instruction, available both in-studio and virtually, to focus on specific rehabilitation needs, form honing, athletic prep work, or personal fitness goals.

The exceptional quality and unique ethos of Rose City Fitness are consistently highlighted by its dedicated clientele in the Oregon fitness community.

June 25 · Angeli mamon-urreaRose City has truly been a game-changer for me—especially after recovering from a back injury. The skilled and attentive instructors always offer thoughtful corrections and modifications when needed, which made a huge difference during my recovery and continues to make a difference in my practice to ensure proper form. What I love most is that each class brings something new, so you're constantly challenged and never bored/stuck in a routine. On top of that, the studio space itself is beautiful—clean, calming, and perfectly designed to make you feel welcome and motivated.Rachel (owner) has created a one of a kind studio in the PDX area that attracts amazing instructors who deliver killer (but rewarding) workouts.
August 20 · Danielle MurphyRachel is incredible -- super knowledgeable and patient. She has really helped to push me on my fitness journey. I'd never done pilates before, but I'm now a year in and the results have been fantastic. I used to have lower back pain pretty regularly, but that has disappeared as my core has strengthened. I can't recommend her and Rose City Fitness highly enough. Thanks!
August 27 · Alex MThe best studio I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a lot. You will feel welcome here no matter what.
