The atmosphere at Rose City Barbell is one of positive reinforcement and shared goals. As one client, who had previously done CrossFit, noted, the classes help them feel "more confident with my form and doing challenging lifts." This speaks volumes about the quality of instruction and the culture of support that is cultivated by the coaches. The community aspect is a central pillar of the gym's identity, with members actively helping and cheering each other on. This is a place where you're not just a number on a membership card; you're a valued part of a team.
The gym's coaches are not just trainers; they are mentors. They have extensive experience and are nationally accredited, ensuring that every member receives expert guidance. They are praised for their ability to provide "great feedback and helpful cues," even to complete beginners. This level of attention ensures that everyone, regardless of their starting point, can confidently and safely learn complex lifts. The gym's leadership is also dedicated to creating an environment where everyone feels they can belong, making strength training something you look forward to, not just an obligation.

Rose City Barbell Reviews
Love love love. I have done two weightlifting classes so far, each taught by a different coach and they were both amazing. I have done CrossFit for about 1.5 years and these classes help me feel more confident with my form and doing challenging lifts. You can tell there is a really positive and supportive community at Rose City Barbell.
June 18 · Murphy ScottI attended the lifting class this evening with my sister and we had a blast! I have some lifting experience but my sister doesn’t. The coaches Mike and Jordan were so helpful! They review all the moves, give great feedback and helpful cues. My sister was confidently lifting by the end of class. I knew I missed lifting but this class made me realize I need it back in my life. Thank you Rose City for an awesome class and a the supportive instruction.
March 26 · Leah GrantOf the many CrossFit gyms I have been to across the country, this facility is 100% the best. They are friendly and make a point to get to know new members and visitors which makes transitioning to a new space much nicer. The coaches are very knowledgeable and will give me cueing when needed! They are open everyday which is perfect for my crazy schedule! There is a lot of equipment that other CrossFit gyms don’t often have! Overall, would recommend to all skill levels :)

The temperature-controlled environment makes every session comfortable, no matter the weather outside. The classes, especially the CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting sessions, are challenging yet incredibly rewarding. The coaches are knowledgeable and genuinely care about helping everyone improve, regardless of their fitness level. What truly sets this gym apart is the supportive community. It feels like a family where all ages and abilities are welcomed and encouraged. I’ve met great people and have participated in several fun events that the gym hosts, which really foster a sense of belonging. If you're looking for a place to challenge yourself while being surrounded by a positive and inclusive atmosphere, this gym is the perfect choice!
