Services Offered
As a dedicated Pilates studio,
Rogers Park MOVES
focuses on classes that utilize the core principles of the Pilates method—control, concentration, centering, precision, breath, and flow. Their offerings include small group classes and private instruction, often utilizing specialized Pilates equipment, such as the reformer. The available services generally include:
- Group Equipment Classes: These are 50-minute sessions that involve resistance training and stretching using Pilates equipment like the Reformer. Class sizes are intentionally small (limited to a few attendees) to ensure personalized attention and focus on form. Classes may also be offered in Spanish, catering to the diverse local community.
- Group Mat Classes: Focusing on fundamental Pilates principles and bodyweight resistance, these 50-minute classes are often offered at different levels, including foundational sessions like "FOUNDATIONS on the mat," which help build technique.
- Private Sessions: Personalized one-on-one sessions that are highly customized for the individual's needs, whether for general fitness, injury recovery, or advanced technique work. These can be scheduled as single-person private sessions or as DUO (two-person) sessions.
- Beginner & Foundations Classes: Designed specifically for newcomers to the Pilates reformer or those looking to perfect their technique before moving to faster-paced classes. This ensures a safe and effective entry point for every ability level.
- Class Scheduling: The schedule primarily features classes during morning and daytime hours on weekdays, with some limited evening options like Group Mat classes (often around 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm).

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve had nothing but great & welcoming experiences at RP Moves! All the instructors have been helpful, patient, and encouraging, especially for someone who is a beginner in pilates. Unlike other gyms or studios that feel more exclusionary, this studio is accepting of everyone of all shapes and abilities. AND it’s always a great workout that helps me feel stronger & more in touch with my body!I do agree with another reviewer regarding schedule. I would love to see more weeknight classes or early morning classes on weekdays. Since I’m in the office until 5pm it’s hard to make it to class as often as I would like, especially since weekend classes are always pretty full!
May 15 · EmilyI love RP moves! It’s such a rare treat to find a place that approaches fitness/movement in such an accepting and affirming way.My only gripe (truly) is about the way classes are scheduled. As someone who works every day until 5pm like a lot of people, it’s very rare to be able to attend class as there are usually no evening classes. Rarely (if ever) are there equipment classes in the evening. I would absolutely go more often if I could but there simply are little to no evening classes on the schedule. A lot of weekdays the latest class time is noon.
April 24 · Laura GrunkeRogers Park Moves is my home away from home! The instructors are amazing, the space is inviting, comfortable and accessible, and classes are affordable. Truly a Rogers Park gem!
May 01 · River KMy actual rating is 100/10! At first I was nervous about trying a new pilates class, but right away I felt at ease and can really feel the benefits of the workouts we do in class. Such a great studio that’s so welcoming to all. Thank you to the amazing instructors for all that you do!
September 04 · Hanan KahsaiThis is an overdue review, I feel like I'm always catching up to life. I met Ame on the train and found out about RP Moves through her. I took my first class with Kate, and I cannot emphasize enough how caring, open, and comfortable this class was. If you are beginner to the practice, you'll be right at home, and if you are advanced, you will definitely be challenged. Love RP and love this practice at the very heart of it :) Hopefully I'll be popping by soon!
