★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I can’t say enough good things about this studio. I’ve done a lot of yoga in my life, but after an accident it’s been a few years. I was happy to see people of all sizes & skill level there. Vanessa is the the best instructor I’ve experienced, she is so knowledgeable, and supportive. I’ve been taking classes regularly & I feel like a new person. This studio offers fun specialty classes too. Classes with amazing live music & hypnotic yoga (everyone wears headsets with music playing), and puppy yoga! They have all equipment you need for any class. The space is beautiful & great location. ❤️❤️❤️
June 10 · Theresa PorcelliBest yoga in the Long Branch area! Vanessa (owner and lead instructor ) is a fun, down to earth, uber experienced and knowledgeable teacher. I hit all the classes while I’m visiting NJ shore. The hot kettle bell class was awesome! And the yoga is mindful and purposefully curated to give you what you need with a touch of extra! And I love having Butch the Purpose pup as the best mascot supporting you in each asana. Thanks Purpose!
June 28 · Rose Anne MulliganThis is my favorite place on earth. Vanessa creates such a welcoming environment and meets everyone where they are. There are so many different types of classes so there is really something for everyone. Can’t recommend Purpose enough 🙏🏼♥️
June 14 · Abigail GwydirOne and a half years later and I still stand by my initial review! They've expanded their class offerings while keeping their core classes and maintaining everything that I initially loved!---------------------------I joined Purpose Yoga trying to find my way back to regular exercise after an injury and being new to the area. I had only taken a few sporadic yoga classes prior, so I was not only injured, but very new to yoga. The studio was welcome and accommodating, helping me test the boundaries during recovery while remaining safe from further injury and learning the ins and outs of the practice. The instructors and the students are so warm and welcoming, I not only found a consistent practice but a community.
June 30 · Sharon D'AngeloI am new to yoga. I did not start my first class until I retired, and by then, time had taken a toll on my body. For example, when I reach for my toes, I was lucky if I could reach my knees.Add to that a back injury that left me with 2 herniated lumbar disks, I needed help.I started with Vanessa's Warm and Slow class, and after over 68 classes, I am still improving. Vanessa keeps our limitations in mind, coupled with her decades of experience, and recommends variations for each of us in the class. When I glance at others in the class, I smile as none of us are quite in the same position due to individual adjustments. And, even though I have now taken the same class for about 18 months, every time it is a bit different and always a wonderful experience. I can easily see the gains in my flexibility. In my mind, what keeps me coming back is Vanessa. She adds commentary as move from position to position, often laced with humor and her life experiences. She has a hart of gold, and a personality to match.
