The group classes are on the smaller side with max 5 people and Dorothy is highly attentive to each person whether it’s adjusting springs, posture/modifications, or focus areas depending on the person. She’s also great at mixing new moves with fundamentals and each class felt novel and not repetitive though I was taking classes for months. It was my first time trying Pilates/group classes in general and she truly made it enjoyable!

I started working with her while I was pregnant and she led me safely through workouts with a lot of care and precision.I’m now on the other side postpartum and working with her has been a gift. All the classes have helped me strengthen my core and body in a safe and steady way. I feel great after I leave each class.Something I really appreciate about Dorothy is that she’s really tuned into details. She’ll help you make a microscopic adjustment which can make all the difference. She’s present with each student during class. You really feel like you get individualized attention. Thank you Dorothy!

A small studio with 5 or fewer people allows for personal attention from the instructor without being as expensive as a private class. Our instructor, while instructing the class, also makes sure we are in the right position, modifying if necessary and encouraging us along the way. She always demonstrates and makes sure we understand what to do. Every lesson is different to keep it from becoming routine. I feel really lucky to have found Piper Pilates!
July 25 · Susan SaitoI look forward to my Piper Pilates sessions every week! Dorothy puts her whole heart and concentration into guiding me through new and challenging exercises every time. No two sessions are the same and they are all perfectly choreographed to target different muscle groups throughout my body. The sessions are both playful and hard work. My core has never felt better and my arms and legs are toned.Both of Dorothy's studios are lovely spaces and very private.I highly recommend Piper Pilates whether you are experienced or new to the reformer! She is the best!
