In the bustling landscape of Northern Kentucky, finding a place that truly feels like a sanctuary can make all the difference in your wellness journey. OM8 Collective, located in Florence, is just such a place. It's not just a yoga studio that happens to offer classes; it is a true haven for dedicated yogis and newcomers alike, built on the foundation of authenticity, community, and genuine practice. For Kentuckians seeking a respite from the daily grind, a space to reconnect with their bodies, and a community of like-minded individuals, OM8 Collective offers a breath of fresh air. The studio is a testament to the idea that yoga is more than just a workout; it is a holistic practice that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. As one customer review beautifully puts it, this is a place where you and your practice come first, free from the drama of other fitness studios. It’s a local gem that has cultivated a real community of diverse and interesting people who are all there for the same purpose: to find balance and peace on their mats.
The ethos of OM8 Collective is deeply rooted in the traditions of yoga, which is evident in every aspect of the studio, from the "no shoes in the studio" policy to the wide variety of classes offered. Unlike many fitness centers that treat yoga as a "side hustle," OM8 Collective is fully committed to the art and science of yoga. This dedication ensures that every class, every instructor, and every interaction is focused on enhancing your practice. The studio’s commitment to its students is a key highlight, as seen in the wide range of class times, from early morning sessions at 6 am to evening classes at 8 pm, making it accessible for even the busiest schedules. The versatility extends to the class temperatures, with options for real hot yoga, warm, and normal temperature classes, catering to different preferences and needs. This thoughtful approach, led by owner Susan and her special team, creates an environment where everyone can find a practice that works best for them, whether they are adventurous and want to try a hot class or prefer a more gentle, traditional flow.
Beyond the classes themselves, OM8 Collective distinguishes itself through its deep commitment to the local community. The studio’s identity as a women-owned business and its dedication to giving back are significant points of pride for the owners and the community they serve. A notable example of this commitment is the "pay as you can" class offered on Sundays, where all proceeds are donated to a local charity chosen by the OM8 community. This initiative not only makes yoga more accessible but also strengthens the bonds within the community, turning a simple class into a collective act of kindness. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Joined a hot ripple class with a friend and was super pleased with my experience! The instructor, Jacki, was kind and welcoming. The space is cozy and everything about is a real treat for the senses. The class was as described, slow and slightly challenging flow with some great extended hold poses. A little bit out of my way as a Covington girlie, but well worth coming back for! Especially for the $8 drop in classes.
April 09 · Taylor JacksonWhat a great studio! this place is all about Yoga. It's not a fitness studio that has yoga as side hustle it's a true Yoga Studio, "no shoes in the studio". A place where you and your practice come before the drama of the other places nearby. A place where a variety of cool and interesting people have come together to form a real community.Susan and team really are a special crew. With classes from 6am to 8 at night you can find a time and temperature that works best for you. She has real HOT yoga but then has warm and normal for those of us who are less adventurous. She has all styles too, YIN, Restorative, Climb, Flow, Melt, Pilates, and even Heavy Metal nights (sign up early for this one). She goes out of her way to support the community by offering a pay as you can class on Sundays where the proceeds go to a local charity of the OM8 communities choosing. What a BREATH of fresh air in NKY
March 20 · Jim PullenI’m new to yoga and I’m really enjoying going here. Everyone seems to nice and the instructors are so knowledgeable. I’ve been trying different types of classes since I started just after Thanksgiving. I’m starting to see results and it’s getting easier. The best part is that the deep breathing has helped my stress levels.
March 04 · Suzy GodstedPracticing yoga has been a game changer for my mind and body. I love this place, its instructors and classes for starting and leading that process. If you’re even debating it a little, just go. Let yourself have the experience you need in a way that works just for you.
February 10 · Becca HallI started taking class at OM8 with my mom as a way to be active together, but I truly enjoy the workouts and see noticeable progress! They offer a variety of yoga classes differing in heat, time, and intensity, plus a Pilates class. The variety in classes helps target strength, flexibility, and mental health. There is truly a class for everyone and I love that it’s something my mom and I can do together! Plus the vibes are immaculate!! Never intimidating or competitive, always encouraging and zen.
