The studio's name itself speaks to its core philosophy of accessibility and community, suggesting a non-judgmental environment where every individual is welcome to participate and contribute as they are able. One of the most striking features, as noted by a first-time visitor, is the continuous guidance provided by the teacher, which eventually becomes "part and parcel of what was good," transforming a potentially daunting experience into a deeply rewarding one. This approach makes the practice feel less like a rigid workout and more like a fluid, supportive journey. For New Yorkers navigating the stresses of city life, this studio offers a powerful antidote, providing a space for physical challenge, mental relief, and emotional uplift. It's a place that fosters a sense of belonging and community, where members feel lucky to be in the "orbit" of such an "exceptional human being" as Max. The studio's inclusive nature, as an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space with a gender-neutral restroom, further solidifies its commitment to creating a safe and welcoming haven for everyone.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1One of the best yoga classes in the City by far! Max has an amazing knowledge of the yogic arts. And he infuses wisdom and poetry into his teachings. I can honestly say, and I mean this when I say it, if you go to Max's class every week consistently, you will be on the path to success with all your endeavors. Don't hesitate to try it.
July 25 · Marius DicpetrisTell you what: I dragged myself to my first Offer What You Can session, led by Max, when I was several seasons into feeling about as low as I've ever felt. The venue was literally around the corner from my home, told myself it would be good for my physical and mental health, blah blah blah.During that first hour-long session, in my head I was all, Oh no no no. I had never experienced a yoga class where the teacher speaks THE ENTIRE TIME. Almost zero moments of silence. That was October 2023.Just days later, I dragged myself back for a second session because, again, it was literally around the corner. And the physical dimension of the session had been challenging. Good. And again, I was forcing myself to do something to stop circling the drain. But something happened during that second hour. Instead of being a dimension I was fighting, Max's patter--his voice, his words, his tips, his anecdotes--became part and parcel of what was good. It wasn't just the physical challenge that was delivering to me some much-needed relief and even a lift. It was the whole. What can I say? I became a regular from that point forward. Offer What You Can Yoga is an exceptional space. Max is an exceptional human being. I feel lucky to be in their orbit.

April 19 · NK BOf the number of yoga teachers I have learned from Max’s flow of poses and words has made a lasting impression. Part yoga, part stream of consciousness philosophy, Max engages your body while calming your mind. The studio is clean and has a nice view of Broadway. The class is perfect for students who are already familiar with the postures but beginners can watch and follow along. Thanks Max for this wonderful service you give to the community.
