Oceanfront Yoga Reviews
Out of the three times I’ve booked this studio through ClassPass, two classes were canceled. The first time, I got a text three minutes before class from ClassPass. Today, I showed up for the 12:30 Yoga Fit class to find the door locked. The number listed on Google didn't work, so I found the number on their website. When I finally reached someone, I was told I was emailed about the cancelation—something I didn’t see because I, like most people, don’t obsessively check email right before a workout. And no, there was no ClassPass notification/text like last time, so it doesn't seem like it was canceled properly.Apparently, if fewer than three people sign up, they don’t bother because it's “too much time and energy to set up,” according to the owner. That’s ridiculous, especially if you're actually a member and are paying for access. The one class I did manage to attend? I was the ONE person there. She said it was because it was a brand-new instructor and she wanted him to get some practice in.Also, I let her know that the phone number listed on Google doesn’t work, and she told me it's a number from eight years ago. It’s honestly mind blowing that something that basic hasn’t been updated. Safe to say I won't be wasting my time going to this studio again.
May 01 · Cynthia ChenWe were on vacation in Virginia Beach and decided that we needed a yoga studio to maintain some balance in between good food and drink. What a lucky find! Within walking distance, we did yoga each morning and due to some bad weather we also attended a few stretch classes in the evening. Positive experience in an otherwise disappointing week filled with rainy cloudy days. The instructors are knowledgeable and prepared and attentive to keeping everyone in the class in form. Valuable tips! Enjoyable workouts, they all kept a nice flow. I highly recommend. I have been doing yoga for several years, several times per week and travel the US.
July 30 · Tim PerrottI was in town for a wedding and dropped in on the Men's class. I had a blast! It was NOT a traditional yoga class. It was full of funny comments and banter, so if you need something more meditative, you should try a different class here. Menanie was a great instructor, riffing with the guys while giving straightforward instructions.
May 10 · Preston SaksHave gone here a few times this summer on a drop-in basis when visiting from out of town. Nicely appointed, wekcoming place just a few blocks off the beach. Kayleigh is a great instructor.
August 11 · Christine CarstensConnie's class is always fun and challenging. I look forward to the practice all week.
