What is Worth Choosing
O2 Fitness at Alexander Promenade offers a truly high-caliber, full-service Fitness center experience for the North Carolina community. It is an excellent choice for individuals who value variety, professional instruction, and the convenience of integrated wellness services. The sheer volume of Group Fitness classes—from high-energy Zumba and Indoor cycling to therapeutic Yoga studio sessions—means members never face workout monotony. The availability of on-site physiotherapy and nutrition advice sets it apart, confirming its status as a wellness destination, not just a place to lift weights. Furthermore, the consistently positive experiences with the Personal trainer team, who are skilled at tailoring programs for all ages and fitness levels, are a massive draw for those needing accountability and expert guidance.
However, in the spirit of providing a professional and factual assessment, it is necessary to acknowledge documented customer feedback. Prospective members should be aware that the facility has faced serious, documented complaints regarding the safety and security of personal belongings, including theft from a locked locker, a car break-in, and subsequent issues with management follow-up. This is a critical factor to consider, particularly given the higher price point compared to some local competitors. While the fitness and wellness offerings are top-tier, the security of personal property is a concern that should be addressed by the management immediately. For local users, choosing O2 Fitness means gaining access to a premier array of services, luxurious amenities like the Sauna and Showers, and outstanding professional training, but it is highly advisable to exercise extreme caution and diligence when securing personal and valuable items while on the premises.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1When I first walked in O2 Fitness I knew it was the right place for me. People were busy working out but it was a calm atmosphere, which was what I was looking for (76 year old woman who hadn’t been in a gym in several years!). I am working with a trainer, Tamara, who is wonderful! She challenges me to keep pushing. She talks to me while I’m working and the time flies by. Tamara is so encouraging and I’m so glad she was paired with me. I actually look forward to our sessions and that is something that I’m not sure I’ve ever done before! Great gym, great trainer!
August 25 · Kaye TalleyEDIT 7/6Just a reminder, I had no valuable items other than my keys with me in the gym. Rather uncomfortable to be working out legs with your keys digging into your legs, so I put them in one of o2's secure lockers that clearly aren't that clearly aren't that secure. Just also a friendly reminder crunch fitness has the same, if not newer equipment and their top tiered about 40% cheaper than O2's rates.Do not go here if you value the safety of your belongings.Last week I had my car keys stolen out of a LOCKED bag in my locker, air tag removed from set of keys, my car broken into, backpack stolen out of my trunk with my wallet inside. My entire checking account drained before I could finish my workout.Upon requesting to seek footage, having little faith the police would do much, the general manager never even called me back, one of the employees called me back leaving a voicemail telling me there was no camera footage. Upon calling the gym back, I was told there was footage, but it wouldn't show anything. Making the attached screenshot from an earlier review a bold faced lie.If you valued customer service as much as you did pushing the renew wellness. The general manager would've personally given me a call back. It's been a week at this point and if the person who stole my belongings actually signed into the gym, which I'm assuming they didn't, the case would've been solved by now. It's abundantly clear there are no security measures other than hoping the front desk individuals ask you to sign in. I pray no one deranged or someone being stalked ever has the opportunity to enter this gym. Do something to actually solve the problem as opposed to lying to your customers or anyone seeking to attend this gym reading the reviews.EDIT 7/2:After this review was posted, I was reached out to 3 times in one day by the general manager, only after I reached out to her in the first place. The only reason why it was pressing at that moment in time is because upper management at o2 saw the review. I was able to make some headway with the investigation. However, it took 8 days, a scathing review, speaking with the area director Malcom (who went on vacation without having anyone else follow up with me concerning the situation) to speak to someone to make some progress.Leslie, the GM told me she'd just found out about this, when every time I'd called the week prior she'd either been "in a meeting" or "stepped out" I'm familiar with these management call avoidance tactics. Between the o2 fitness HR department, the area director, and general manager it should've never gotten to the point where it took over a week for me to get some communication from someone. I've been attending this gym for the better half a decade and canceled my membership this afternoon.I think o2 would be better off focusing on security measures to ensure guests don't have their belongings stolen, again my keys were in the locker, my bag was stolen out of the trunk of my car, as opposed to pushing their wellness and nutrition programs. Reopen your steam rooms, actually have people at the front desk ensuring everyone entering the gym is a member. You're paying 7-8x what you would at planet fitness for a lesser quality of service with more being pushed at you to buy. This entire experience was beyond disappointing, do not waste your money here.
July 06 · Alex FalankI have been a member of O2 Fitness for 7 years and I really enjoy the group fitness classes. I wish I could say the same about the front desk staff. They need a master class in customer service. I often walk into the gym and see several front desk employees standing around talking or looking at their phones. They will not acknowledge or greet you. Then the times that someone does actually greet you it's not friendly or welcoming .They seem so disinterested and look like they don't want to be there. I go to other O2 locations in Raleigh and I am always immediately greeted with a smile. This Brier Creek location should do better!
August 28 · Tonja BlandI've been a member of O2 since the Spring and I've really enjoyed my time at this location. I started out my fitness journey training with Darrius and he is AMAZING! After telling him my goals, Darrius made sure to incorporate my goals into our workouts as well as give me pointers on what to do to maintain my goals. He was really fun to work with and I always felt comfortable and supported during our sessions. Outside of personal training, the facility itself is okay. Some of the equipment definitely shows wear and tear, but that doesn't detract from my workouts. Every staff member is nice and welcoming and always available to help when asked. Overall, this is a nice gym in the area and I would definitely recommend joining.
August 14 · Jaimey HowardI have always had positive interactions with the staff at o2. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I met Austin, the wellness director, randomly one day and after a quick conversation decided to make an appointment with him. By the time I was done I had the start of a plan in place top help me reach my goals. I had been a member for a while at this point but wasn't taking full advantage of my membership. I'm now working with a trainer, Alan, and it has also been a very positive experience.
