Some members have expressed concerns about the age of certain equipment and the overall layout of the gym, noting that some competing facilities may offer a more modern feel. Additionally, the communication of policies, particularly regarding specific amenities like the swimming pool schedule, has been a point of contention for some. It is clear that while the gym provides valuable services, members need to be proactive in understanding the policies and schedules to avoid disappointment. Despite these issues, the gym remains a viable option for many due to its convenient location and the presence of amenities that are not always available at other gyms in the area.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was very excited to find a gym with an outdoor pool that my two young children could enjoy this summer. I signed up for the gym and also paid for myself and children (you have to pay separately for your children to join the pool) to join for the summer. As you know Philadelphia is very hot and humid over the summer and there are not many places to go. Fast forward to one Friday at the pool. I got there at 1:45, checked in at the front and took my kids outside to swim. I was greeted normally, no one said a word to me other than hello. At 2pm, just 15 minutes after I got to the pool, I was informed that on Fridays the pool becomes 18+ after 2 pm so my two children and I would not be allowed to stay anymore. Mind you this was NEVER communicated to me when I joined the pool and gave them close to 1,000 dollars to swim for the summer. Secondly, I have been at the pool on multiple Fridays when there are kids swimming all afternoon without being told to leave. In fact, I have multiple friends at the pool who also joined for the summer (and paid for) their kids and no one knew about this policy. So clearly it has not been effectively communicated. Friday is one of the only days that my family can go to the pool-the end of the workweek, etc. and now it appears that we are not able to use a service that we paid for. I am very disappointed and am looking to cancel my membership at this gym after this experience.Moral of the story: if you have a policy that restricts a large group of people from a service that you advertise, it needs to be effectively communicated. Also, a discounted rate should be considered if we can’t use the service we pay for 100% of the time.
July 18 · Samantha CoranI don’t understand why NYSC considers themselves a premium gym. I’ve seen YMCAs better than this. Equipment is old, layout is odd. Do better sports club
April 09 · Praise MathaiI cancelled my membership today. The facility is average, but they don't maintain it: the steam room hasn't worked in at least a month, much of the equipment is old, often broken. What really burned me was trying to schedule the MyClub intro session. I got a call and text from a trainer and I set the time....but I never got confirmation from him. He never responded to my follow up texts either. I finally called the desk to make sure it was cancelled.Good communication is important and it's rude to ignore people. Maybe I'm just used to better quality trainers (I'm sure of that), but I suggest you not offer intros that you obviously don't want to provide.
August 23 · Will ShackeltonThese pictures were taken on a Friday afternoon at the pool area, which was full of kids screaming, yelling, and jumping. It was super crowded and hard to find a space, making it feel more like a kids' club than a pool club. I can't imagine what it's like on the weekend. If you can't handle kids screaming all day, I would not recommend getting a pool membership here. Personally, I don't have an issue with it and managed to find a little peace and space in the water. The gym also has issues with air circulation and is always overcrowded. You may have to wait in a long line to use the cable machines if you're lucky. The group classes are held in a tiny area where you have to be careful not to hit people around you.On a positive note, the staff is excellent, particularly the receptionist with beautiful curly hair who is always smiling and creating a good vibe. Everyone is very helpful.Overall, it is an average neighborhood gym that costs $50 per month. However, the lack of AC and overcrowding may be deterrents for some.
June 14 · Elif DemirThe gym is fantastic here they have everything you need to get a full workout in no issues. In addition to some classes and courses you can take if your not feeling so confident working alone. Personal trainers and such all good bonuses. Pool area is nice and big. In terms of using the lap side of the pool on a warm day good luck. Everyone is floating, diving and cannonballing all over the pool so it's near impossible to do a lap or 2 if that's why you wanted to go to the pool. In terms of the umbrella situation that's nothing thing you'll have to hope to be lucky. There is not enough umbrella at the pool so if you have some type of skin disease, irritation or anything of the sort and you still like to get outside just need an umbrella good luck trying to get one. Everyone likes to surround them and not use them. Also from my encounters pretty rude when asked or inquire to use the umbrella that isn't being used. Umbrellas that are opened things gathered around them and not a soul laying under them it is pretty territorial. Overall decent place just a few things to be aware of in total. I would hope these few issues are easy solves. Purchase of more umbrella and stands near every row of 4 seatings that way Everyone has the option to either have one open or not use one. Thank you for your time
