★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I booked this class to get a first experience at hot yoga. I was filled with excitement! I walked the stairs to the second floor at 4:05pm. I stood there awkwardly because the instructor was outside the door talking to someone else from the building. When she finally addresses me at 4:06pm to be exact she states “we lock the doors 5 minutes after class begins, sorry…” legit as she’s locking the door. I’m new to the yoga realm but to not be able to join a class because I arrived at 4:05 instead of 4:00 exact sounds a bit insane. It’s so unfortunate because I had bought a mat and was incredibly excited to join the class today. I am writing this at 4:10pm so this is obviously no exaggeration.
May 27 · Jamirah Gregorybeautiful space to practice yoga! 🩵i definitely recommend arriving at least 10 min early, as you need to check in before class and may want to fill up your water, get a towel, and grab a block or two. classes start on time and doors lock 5 min after they start! 🔒some encouragement for other beginners:even if it’s hard the first couple times you go, keep going! ask questions, mess up a pose, and remember even the really cool people who are standing on their heads in class started where you are now :) i’m still learning but i feel so free to make mistakes here and continue growing! 🌱
February 12 · Markelle E. E.Monarch Yoga is a true gem in the city. I haven’t always found it easy to find a yoga studio that feels truly welcoming and judgement-free, but that’s very much the vibe at Monarch. Every teacher I’ve taken a class with (at both locations!) has been knowledgeable and kind, and clearly passionate about making yoga accessible for everyone. Easily the best yoga studio in Philly! ❤️
May 27 · Kimmy NazarukThis studio is first and foremost incredibly modern, spacious, and beautiful!I was so pleased how comfortable I felt in the studio with the natural lighting and amble personal space around me. The instructor was fabulous and I really haven’t had such a great yoga class in so long. I also enjoyed the personal touch with the stones they had in the back that you can leave on your mat if you wanted assistance in your practice.
May 07 · Sarah JahanbakhshSuch a great location for (very) hot yoga! I’ve hopped around all over the city to various studios but nothing compares to Monarch. One of the teachers, Nicole, her class is a good test on endurance and balance! 10/10 Recommend this yoga studio… and they are very accommodating to your needs!
