This isn't your average gym with a few treadmills tucked in the corner; it's a specialty studio built around the art and science of running. This article is designed to provide local New Yorkers with a clear, engaging, and informative look at what makes Mile High Run Club a premier destination for runners of all levels. From its state-of-the-art equipment to its motivational atmosphere, we will explore why this gym has become a beloved staple for the city's running community.
Mile High Run Club has carved out a unique niche in the competitive New York fitness scene. It takes the solo, often mundane act of running on a treadmill and transforms it into a high-energy, community-driven group experience. The classes are meticulously designed with scientifically-backed HIIT principles to maximize results, helping you boost your speed, strength, and overall fitness efficiently. The studio’s motto, "Become the runner you were born to be," resonates with both seasoned marathoners and complete novices alike. This guide will provide you with all the essential details about the gym's services, features, and why it is a worthwhile choice for anyone looking to improve their running performance or simply find a fun, effective workout.
The core of the Mile High Run Club experience is its dynamic group classes, which are designed to push you to your limits in a supportive environment. The instructors, who are often accomplished runners themselves, are celebrated for their ability to motivate and guide participants. As one reviewer noted, a great instructor "pushes but I don't feel intimidated as I do at other gyms." This is a critical point for many who might be new to running or group fitness. The classes are structured with clear levels and pace guides, ensuring that every participant, from the "unlikely runner" to the experienced athlete, can find their challenge and feel successful. The combination of expert coaching, high-energy music, and pulsating lights creates a workout that is both effective and incredibly fun, making the time fly by.
Furthermore, the studio recognizes that running is not just about logging miles. The inclusion of strength training, particularly in classes like DASH 28, demonstrates a holistic approach to fitness that is crucial for injury prevention and long-term improvement. The gym’s philosophy is built on the idea that cross-training is essential for runners, and they provide the tools and guidance to do it correctly. This comprehensive approach, combined with the convenience of an indoor setting, makes Mile High Run Club an ideal training ground for anyone with a goal, whether it's to finish their first 5K or achieve a new personal record in the New York City Marathon.

June 25 · Jarell HinesMeghan is a great instructor especially for runners that aren't at the same level as everyone else (me). She pushes but I don't feel intimidated as I do at other gyms and I truly appreciate that. If you aren't a runner but want to start, Mile High Run Club is a great place to go. It truly is for all levels.
June 03 · Cindy Chen DerkaczThis was my first time going and I really liked it! I’m not a runner so I went at my own pace while still feeling challenged. Lanoa was very helpful with using the treadmill and her music set was awesome!
July 18 · Tanya WhitePerfect for those cold mornings you don’t want to be outside. Trainers are awesome, equipment and facilities great and people are friendly as the come - would recommended the 630am class for anyone either visiting or working
January 24 · Tom HowesMy treadmill was broken and disrupted my workout; I was not the only one. The women’s changing room is way too small. Not enough lockers for everyone and not enough towels. The shower was quite dirty already after the 7:30 AM class. I would not go back to this studio.
