Marina leads each class with mindful attention to breath and body, without judgement. Everyone is welcome at their level and ability. I was VERY out of shape when I first started going to her classes, and I found that I kept coming back- each time growing stronger, and more able to get through the sets. She curates incredible playlists that flow through the challenging cardio and pilates stretches. Marina also brings energizing ideas to the class, so its like the mind gets a little workout too. The music and class flow are different every time, so its always a surprise which keeps it fun. Exercise should be joyful, and this class has made my body so much stronger and energized. Thank you Marina for your magic!

Her class is full every week with regulars, which shows you how inspiring - and addicting - her classes are. A combination of music with pilates and dance makes for a form of therapy. April 06 · Michon van AsI came to Marina's classes through another mom, as I knew I needed some movement in my life, and that life in the gym alone was getting boring. My mom friend invited me along for a non-committal pilates session. What attracted me first was the perfect timing of day: mornings, shortly after dropping off kids, when my energy is best, but my brain has yet to fully awaken. Most group sessions out there are placed extremely early in the morning, or in the afternoons/evening, which are hopeless for parents. The second thing that attracted me was the intimacy of the sessions, largely promulgated by the venues and the people that Marina gathered together. It was not just pumping through a class; conversations would happen, life would be discussed. You would meet with the same folks and there is a community. I have made friends through Marina's classes. I started out with her pilates, and have now progressed on to her more active plyometrics class, at the encouragement of other attendents. All in all, Marina's classes make me adhere to a weekly routine, through the advantages of the good and affordable hours, friendly co-exercisers, the great work-out (I have seen shifts in my stamina, strength, mood), and Marina's amazing leadership of the class. Oh, and she has a carefully selected track list - it never fails.

In addition to her class being a safe space to cry, breathe, scream and quiet my reptilian brain, her class is helping me unravel all the “shoulds” in my life, what exercise “should” be, what my body “should” look like and who I “should” be in the world.
