Lions Den Introduce
Lions Den: Strength, Conditioning, and Performance Training in Pomona, CA
For residents of the Inland Empire and specifically the Pomona community, **Lions Den** presents itself as a specialized gym focused on building strength, mobility, and overall performance. The gym’s ethos centers on fostering a life of health, well-being, and enhanced physical capability for "young and old athletes alike." Unlike typical large-scale fitness chains, Lions Den appears to concentrate on specialized training methodologies, including movement-based strength and conditioning classes. The stated goal is comprehensive: to "restore older athletes' ability to move, get stronger and feel better" and to proactively train young athletes to avoid common physical pitfalls.
The facility positions itself as a place "to learn, build, and foster" long-term health, suggesting a focus on technique, safety, and programmed training rather than simply open gym access. It clearly targets individuals who are committed to a structured fitness journey and require guidance beyond simple self-directed workouts. The services offered, including personal training, nutrition consulting, and rehabilitation, indicate an intention to provide a holistic framework for physical health. However, as noted in public feedback, prospective members should be aware that a **membership is required** to access the facility's offerings, and there have been significant customer reports concerning business practices and facility upkeep that warrant caution and thorough due diligence before enrollment.
Location and Accessibility
Lions Den is centrally located in Pomona, making it a viable option for those in the city as well as neighboring areas within the San Gabriel Valley and Inland Empire, such as Claremont, La Verne, and Diamond Bar.
The official address for the gym is: **435 E Center St, Pomona, CA 91767, USA.**
The location on East Center Street places it within the community’s easy reach. The gym has implemented features to ensure broad accessibility for all members of the California community:
- Wheelchair Accessible Entrance: The facility ensures an accessible entry point for individuals with mobility needs.
- Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot: Dedicated parking simplifies access for all patrons.
- Restroom: A basic amenity provided for member convenience, though public feedback indicates issues with maintenance and capacity.
For financial convenience, the facility accepts modern payment methods:
- Payments Accepted: **Credit cards** and **Debit cards**.

- **Nutrition Consulting:** Professional guidance to help members develop effective and sustainable eating habits that support their specific training regimen, whether for fat loss, muscle gain, or performance.
- **Rehabilitation:** Providing services focused on recovery, injury prevention, and building or restoring functional movement patterns, which is a key offering distinguishing it from standard gyms.

Features and Highlights: Focused Training and Accessibility
Lions Den’s appeal lies in its commitment to specialized training and its comprehensive approach to physical health, addressing not just exercise but also diet and recovery.
Key attributes that make this gym stand out include:
- Integrated Health Focus: The inclusion of **Personal Training**, **Nutrition Consulting**, and **Rehabilitation** under one roof provides a seamless, holistic path for members seeking significant, measurable results.
- Performance-Oriented Training: The emphasis on "Strength, Conditioning, and Performance" training appeals directly to athletes, competitive lifters, and individuals with specific physical goals, offering a more dedicated training environment than general fitness centers.
- Accessibility Measures: The provision of a **Wheelchair accessible entrance** and **Wheelchair accessible parking lot** demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity, ensuring the facility is available to a wider segment of the community.
However, it is vital to acknowledge the significant reported areas of concern:
- Reported Unethical Business Practices: One serious concern involves allegations of unauthorized billing, failure to honor membership cancellations (despite providing text confirmation), and requiring excessive documentation, suggesting potential ethical issues in their contract and billing management.
- Facility Maintenance Issues: Customer feedback specifically highlights a long-term problem with the restroom facilities, noting that the only men's urinal has been out of service for nearly a year, forcing users to utilize the single stall. This suggests a notable lack of commitment to basic facility upkeep and member comfort.

What is Worth Choosing Lions Den
Lions Den is primarily worth choosing for the Californian individual who specifically seeks a **performance-focused, strength and conditioning program** that includes comprehensive **rehabilitation** and expert **nutrition consulting** in the Pomona area. If your goal is athletic enhancement, recovery from injury, or high-level personal training, the core services offered here align with a serious commitment to physical performance. The emphasis on a structured, science-based approach to training is a major draw for dedicated athletes.
**However, this recommendation comes with a crucial caveat:** Due to multiple public reports regarding "unethical business practices," potential members in California must **proceed with extreme caution**. Before committing to the required membership, it is strongly advised to:
- Thoroughly review the membership contract, especially the cancellation clauses, and save a signed copy.
- Insist on written and signed documentation for all cancellation requests, regardless of any text or verbal confirmation.
- Inquire directly about the status of facility maintenance, including the reported issues with the single restroom.
If the facility and its management are able to convincingly address these significant concerns, the specialized training and rehabilitation services at Lions Den offer a compelling value proposition for the serious, goal-oriented fitness enthusiast in Pomona.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Warning: Unethical Business Practices and issues with Membership Cancellations!I signed up for a 6-month membership at Lion’s Den Gym. At the end of my term, I confirmed my cancellation with a front desk employee and even received a text confirmation that my membership had ended. Seven months later, I was shocked to discover they had reinstated my account without permission and attempted to bill me for 12 months of unpaid charges. When I contacted them, they refused to remove the charges and claimed I needed to provide a signed cancellation sheet—even though I had proof of their own text confirmation. To make matters worse, they later emailed members admitting to software issues during the same period I canceled, which makes their stance even more dishonest.I strongly advise avoiding this gym. Beyond the questionable condition of the facility itself, their business practices are misleading and unethical. Proceed with extreme caution.
September 18 · Randy LargartichaMen's urinal has been out of service for almost a year now, and given there's only 1 restroom with 1 urinal we are forced to continue using the stall to urinate. Is there any way to get the urinal fixed anytime soon? It's frustrating that there's only 1 restroom in this gym. No other complaints just that.
June 20 · Jose CisnerosAwesome gym, it has a variety of machines and isn't crowded at night. Love working out there! (white shirt's me)
October 27 · Josue HernandezVery cool gym and great employees. Gio was a huge help and very friendly. Lots of cool equipment you won’t see in any public gyms. Only gripe I had was that the hack squat, after loading more than 3 plates on either side got this weird knocking feel towards lockout. Made it kind of unusable, might just need service, not 100% sure. Other than that the gym was great, would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area
February 01 · Noah YoosLions Den isn’t a commercial gym. Where you get all the lames. Ppl are very humble and nice here. When I touched down at Lions Den I wasn’t to sure when I drove up. Walked in was greeted by my boy Gio. He introduced himself, told me the basics gave me a tour didn’t sugar coat anything. I was very impressed by the equipment that some I have never seen before. I have been hitting weights for over 15 years. And I was all in when I went into the pit. Crazy amazing feeling…. It’s about building muscle here not some foo staring you down or some lame trying to compete how much you can lift or how strong you are. Or women walking around half naked wanting you to stare at them. Lions Den is about PRIVACY, FOCUS, DETERMINATION, BUILDING CONFIDENCE, and most building MUSCLE… my opinion anyone giving a bad review about Lions Den check yourself because it’s not that your disappointed about this place take a good look at yourself, it’s all you brother. A COMPLAINER!! Life is about ups and downs. And Lions Den is where you build off self confidence, determination, focus, self-healing… and most of GAINS. BECAUSE IF YOU CANT GAIN HERE AT LIONS DEN YOU WONT GAIN PERIOD IN LIFE!!!
