Dear Lifetime Team,I’m reaching out because I’ve become increasingly unhappy with the noticeable decline in the quality of the gym experience at Lifetime. The fitness environment and lifestyle that was presented to us when we became members has markedly diminished.I was unable to finish my workout tonight due to extreme overcrowding—particularly around the strength equipment. The gym has increasingly become dominated by large groups of high school and college-aged males who congregate around machines and often monopolize them for extended periods. As a professional in my fifties, I find this atmosphere not only frustrating but also intimidating. Members should not be made to feel uneasy about asking others to share equipment, yet that’s often the reality in these situations. I’m sure you can appreciate how uncomfortable it is to be in my shoes—approaching a group of four or five young men hovering around a machine just to ask if I can work in.This pattern is not just inconvenient—it’s altering the culture of the gym entirely. What was marketed to us as a premium fitness lifestyle has begun to feel more like a neighborhood “men’s gym” with limited regard for the needs of a broader membership base. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to move through a workout efficiently and safely, especially during peak times. Even with my personal trainer, we’ve had to alter our planned workouts multiple times because the necessary equipment was in constant use.We are paying a significant membership fee for what is supposed to be a premium, balanced experience. I imagine this isn’t aligned with what the Lifetime brand is intended to represent. I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and consider implementing solutions to ensure that all members—regardless of age or fitness level—can enjoy the space comfortably and safely. As I am not alone in feeling the Lifetime environment has changed, it would be worthwhile to speak with a broader range of members.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We’ve been members at Lifetime Fitness Bridgewater and are paying a substantial monthly fee, expecting at least a basic level of reliability and respect for our planning. As parents of a baby, attending a group class requires a lot of coordination. We book the class several days in advance, we schedule daycare to align perfectly, and we plan our entire day around being there on time.Today, we dropped our child off at the **Lifetime daycare—**which had a line—causing a delay that was completely out of our control. We were still at the facility on time and showed up to the class 5 minutes early. But despite booking ahead and doing everything right, we were told our spot was given away.So now we ask: whose fault is that? We followed the process, arrived on time, and were delayed only because of internal wait times at Lifetime’s own daycare. Yet, we’re the ones penalized?It’s incredibly frustrating to put in so much effort—especially with a baby—and be told it doesn’t matter. Members who book in advance and are present at the facility should not be bumped for walk-ins because of a poorly coordinated system.We expected better from a brand that claims to be family-friendly and charges a premium for it.

I have been a member for about five or six months. I've been to many gyms, but this place has a different style. This is the life complex for me. All employees are very caring and friendly. They are also very good at cleaning.

Don’t bother signing up here. The management uses upgrading the air conditioning (a basic for a gym) as an excuse to raise the membership fee. They also have extensive classes that take up most of the squat racks. I was told to pound salt when I complained.The gym is extensively packed from 4pm-9pm as well so good luck getting your workout done around the under 25 crowd.

She closed the half the parking lot during peak hours to fill in cracks in asphalt. This caused a tremendous amount parking problems as any given day the lot is full and parking is difficult. I voiced my concern for the safety of members and that they were not providing the numbers of parking spots, they were approve with, by the planning board. Then when the spots were opened she made announcement over the intercom that anyone who wasn't parked in legit parking spot, which was unavailable due to her actions, would be ticketed or towed. She then terminated my membership without even communicating such to myself. She is a terrible manager, even worse communicator, and her customer service could use development. I get she is thin skinned. The gym is over-priced for how they treat their members. Keep in mind I had been a dues paying for three years.If you consider saying, "really??" to someone who is stopped on the staircase talking to be aggressive. That person then confronting me while while I was on the treadmill because "I didn't know what she was going through". Or when I made the comment about the dim manager shutting down half the parking lot during peak hours at the concierage. Hardly sounds aggressive but I can see how the glorified-paperweight would think a fair criticism be "aggressive". I can see how me expressing the need for an adequate number of parking spots be provided is harsh. But thanks for the intentionally vague response.
