Life Time, located in a premier part of the city, positions itself as more than just a fitness center; it is a full-service athletic country club. This expansive facility offers an incredible array of amenities and services, providing a comprehensive solution for health and wellness that goes far beyond a typical workout space. With dedicated areas for a variety of sports, a vast selection of classes, and an impressive aquatic center, Life Time is designed to be a one-stop-shop for fitness, recreation, and relaxation. The club's philosophy is centered on the idea that health is a lifestyle, not just an activity, and its extensive offerings reflect this commitment to supporting a holistic approach to well-being. From rock climbing and racquetball to dedicated kids' programs, the club provides an environment where every family member can find an activity they love. This diversity is what sets Life Time apart in the Kansas fitness landscape, making it an attractive option for those who want a premium experience with the convenience of having everything under one roof. While some members have raised concerns about management and pricing, the sheer variety of amenities and programs available is a major draw for many.
The concept of an "athletic country club" is a key part of the Life Time experience. It’s an environment where fitness is seamlessly integrated with leisure and family time. The club's atmosphere is bustling and energetic, reflecting the wide range of activities happening simultaneously. However, as noted in member reviews, this can also lead to a lively, sometimes crowded, environment, particularly during peak hours. The club's facilities are extensive, and they offer a variety of programs to engage members of all ages. The staff, as one reviewer mentioned, is generally very nice and helpful. This positive interaction with employees is a critical part of the member experience. Life Time's design includes multiple, distinct areas for different activities, such as a rock climbing gym, racquetball courts, and multiple studios for classes, which helps manage the flow of people and allows members to focus on their chosen activity. The club's commitment to providing an all-encompassing experience is evident in its offerings, but some members suggest that the execution of these services, particularly with regard to equipment maintenance and cleanliness, could be improved. Despite some of these challenges, the club remains a popular choice for many families in the area due to its sheer size and variety of amenities.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Gym looks nice at surface level but once you start going consistently there are flaws. it’s overpriced and poorly managed. StairMasters and treadmills are often broken, Pilates costs extra on top of $200+ a month, and the free classes take over the gym during peak hours. Girls’ locker room locks are always jammed. Machines are dirty, people don’t wipe down, come in sick..and there are kids everywhere, yelling and running around. Staff is very nice, but that’s about it
July 29 · keerthie sundarI've been a member 7 yrs... really starting to wonder how dues can continue to be raised. The kids club has never gone back to regular hours - and even got cut back so if someone wants to do any evening class, it can be very difficult to do so with kiddos in tow. Friday evenings there is no coverage which is a great night for parents to work out or even go out. We were actually charged a guest pass for bringing my spouse's 11 yr old daughter this month - we've been bringing her more than several times and always had a waiver on file. We do not buy a membership because we only have her every other weekend during the school year, and if or when she comes with us the time we have her in the summer, she walks on the treadmill with us and does not even use the kids club. Yet somehow they couldn't find her waiver on file, and also charged us the guest pass for a minor (have never experienced that). I've brought my young nieces in the past, no issues like that. The equipment is becoming dirtier and dirtier - not seeming to ever be cleaned (photo included). I have been to much smaller gyms where the upkeep is ten times more mindful. The plate holders were taken out and now there seems to be a constant fight for plates, and we have even had members take plates off of mine or my spouse's bar in the middle of our sets with no ask or courtesy to at least try to share. It is a hard battle to choose to stay or go. I love the dance classes and they are a big reason I stay, as well as the pool amenities - but even that has become difficult and overpriced. Not sure what can be done at this point to dissuade us from leaving once our baby is due in March.
August 27 · Chrissie SobekThis is another scammer Gym. I been a member at this gym when I joined its $99 and then after a year I did added my wife for $60 plus tax I used to $pay 180 something. After 5 months I removed my wife since no longer uses it which I suppose to pay $99 again instead of that they made a contract with new membership as $159 what a joke. Time to move on.
August 15 · Sunil KumarThe rate is up to $190 per individual now lol. After tax it is like $210. You could lease a Toyota Corolla for that. The gym is good but really packed during peak hours. What really disappoints me is the fact that they used to be 24 hours and now they have reduced hours. It was so convenient for those long days in the office or if I just wanted to get a jumpstart on my day. I really don’t understand their thought process. There is an employee at the gym 24 hours a day either way. They reduced the hours during the pandemic and they never changed them back. I find this sort of conduct to be opportunistic and manipulative. The weekend hours are even worse. I don’t know anybody who goes to bed at 10 pm on a Saturday. I remember there used to be a vibrant basketball community that absolutely killed. Teenagers and adults would stay here until midnight or 1 in the morning on the weekends and play basketball and then the teenagers would go get snacks at QuikTrip. I think playing basketball with your friends at the gym late at night is much better than what teenagers usually do at night. Lifetime used to be a cornerstone of the community but they absolutely killed it. Also, be prepared to be stared down by the lady at the front desk if you walk out a minute past 11 and to hear obnoxious warnings over the intercom about how they are closed and that all members should have been out of the gym by now. I don’t think they’re saving any money by closing for five hours while still having staff on hand. All they’re doing is creating frustration between their staff and the members and killing the vibrant community.
March 19 · Michael NadtochiyBest club I’ve ever been too! I just hate the fact I lost old price privilege since I traveled for a loss in family and not 24/7 anymore :( still 5 stars though to be fair!
