★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Well I haven't been here in years. But I'm only giving you a 3 because I'm sitting here in the parking lot and it's saying that it's open. I get here and it's not open. So I call and then it says it's only open till 8:00. But the website says 9:00. I really think it's disrespectful for people not to update their websites. Because other people travel thinking that the place is open because it says it's open and you get here and it's not it's not right to waste people's times like that very disappointed.
February 06 · Nicole CesarioVery loud gym but I liked the sauna a lot, Will probably be back for the heated pool. Building itself was pretty.
September 23 · Ashley TrueUPDATE: Today I decided to give this YMCA another chance seeing as it’s right down the street from my house as opposed to the Lincoln location which is 20 minutes away. Nothing has changed. I was in the building for 10 minutes. I dropped my kids off at the childcare center only to have the director disrupt my workout to tell me that my daughter is too young to be in the childcare center. I stated that the website says they take any infants above the age of 6 weeks. The director responds “that was before covid, we don’t have the staff to watch anyone under 18 months”. 18 months! That’s a toddler. So basically, you don’t watch infants at all. How are you going to advertise childcare when you don’t accept infants. I’ll drive the 20 minutes to go to Lincoln. They watch my infant and they’re open until 1am.This place is awful. For the amount of money I put into the place I should have been treated a lot better. For starters, the pool is always freezing. My son who took swim lessons there was constantly shivering during lessons. I tried to enroll my son into private lessons. Forget it. “Brittany” never returns my call and you must speak with the aqua director. You would think for the price of private lessons Brittany would call you back but nope. Brittany probably doesn’t even work there by the time I finish this review because their staff turn over rate is pathetic. Directors come and go faster than you can blink. This YMCA continues to reduce there hours of operation. They claim it’s again due to lack of staff. Unless you’re low income you will be paying $100 dollars a month for an establishment that’s only open during business hours (7am-6pm). Now let’s get into their childcare. They kicked my son out of childcare because he has a developmental delay. They looked me in the eyes and stated “we just can’t handle him”. My son was devastated. Remind you I paid $250 a week for childcare on top of my monthly membership fee. It didn’t matter. When I asked to speak to the director of childcare I was told “sorry he no longer works here and the position is vacant”. Color me shocked.
March 05 · Tina lamaThis YMCA isn’t just a place I workout at, it’s a welcoming community I look forward to visiting regularly. Staff are helpful, well informed and they always greet you with a wonderful smile. Dominic especially has a kindness that people gravitate to.It’s a busy center with the kids area filled, swimming meets; outdoor park; an indoor and outdoor basketball court, and many group classes. There’s always a knowledgeable trainers on the floor ready to assist and answer questions. The facilities are clean and well kept. It’s a very old building but well maintain. As a Y member originally from Mass whose used my Universal access in several states, my 19 y/old son and I are happy to call Kent our home.
