August 15 · Constance StewartThe owner George Brown is very rude and hostile to women! I’ve had my fair share of encounters with him and today was my final straw. On January 14th the other trainer texted me at 7AM asking for my weight and told me to be at the gym at 830AM. I arrived at 830 and worked out. He proceeded to tell me I was late. Well the gym officially opens at 9AM and I was told by the other trainer to arrive at 830. So he was upset but I ignored it and left early anyway. On Jan 15th, the other trainer told me to arrive at 830 again and I arrived at 815. I began my workout and at 912 we got on the cardio bikes. As we were riding the bikes he told us to go to position 1 and I complied. As I was in position 1 he said to me “you were late” I replied “I wasn’t I got here at 815 Coach K told me to get here at 830”. He proceeds to tell the other coach in a very rude and nasty tone “why did you tell her 830 when I said 8” she then replied “I didn’t know” and I said “I don’t recall” and he told us both to shut up. Then he said “well I wont open the door for you anymore at 800” and told another client “but I will open the door for you at 8” so I responded “okay George that’s fine” so because I was not argumentative with him he goes to say “well since you’re not here at 8, you can’t come at 8 I’m not opening the door”. So I responded and said “that’s fine George, when u open the door I’ll be here”. So shortly after that he stood up on the bike and the other trainer asked for clarification “are we standing?” He responded in yet another rude manner “y’all can do what y’all want and he became argumentative”. So I stopped the bike and went to get my belongings to leave. I didn’t want to argue and at this point I’m fed up. The other trainer tried to come and talk to me and I explained that I’m leaving because I am tired of the constant disrespect. As I was leaving he was antagonizing and baiting me to argue. I ignored him. He later called me. I missed the called but because it was an unfamiliar number I called back. When I called the number back it was George and I told him I was busy and didn’t want to talk.On Jan 16th (today) I arrived at the gym at 850. As I was putting on my shoes George Brown approached me to talk. I did not want to talk. He says to me “Bri I ain’t got all day let’s talk”, I ignored him. He then asked me if I was ignoring him, I remained silent. He then asked and second time. The third time he said “ight imma asked one more time you ignoring me” I was silent. He then told me “okay get out” I politely said “well I paid my money for this month so I’m staying to workout”. He said “I’ll give you your money back get the f (f word) out”. So I grabbed my things and said “okay” again because I wasn’t argumentative he started to be rude and nasty and I said “okay you don’t have to talk to me I’m leaving just give me my money back then”. He says “well you will get it when I give it to you” I said “you can cash app me” he then gets irritated and said “get the f-word out and f you b-word. At this point I told him I’m tired of him disrespecting me. Then he continues to call me b words and say f you all in front of clients and he got in my personal space. Words were exchanged, I eventually left.
