As one of our cherished clients beautifully put it, "There aren’t words to describe this yoga studio. It’s like walking into the most cozy atmosphere, where real work gets done and lots of laughter." This sentiment perfectly captures the essence of Identity Yoga. We are more than just a place to stretch; we are a community where you can find both physical release and emotional well-being. The laughter and warmth that fill our space are as much a part of the experience as the poses themselves. Our instructor, Julie, has been praised as "an exceptional instructor," known for her "attention to detail and hands on approach." She skillfully guides each student, ensuring they receive the personalized care and adjustments needed to safely deepen their practice. This level of personalized attention is what sets us apart from so many other classes and instructors you may have experienced.
Identity Yoga is particularly well-suited for those with specific physical needs, such as back pain. A testimonial from a long-time student highlights this, stating that Julie's classes make their back pain "less and less" and teach them how to "continue to find that ease." This is a testament to our focus on therapeutic alignment and the skillful use of props to support the body. Our classes are a "hybrid" with a strong emphasis on alignment, ensuring that you are building strength and flexibility in a safe and effective way. Each class is "unique," as we believe in avoiding the "same old routine" to keep the practice fresh and engaging. This intuitive and creative approach allows Julie to "skillfully guide all through their practice, intuitively knowing where each student is at, challenging without pushing too far." The warmth, support, and genuine care you receive at Identity Yoga make you feel welcome, regardless of your level.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1There aren’t words to describe this yoga studio. It’s like walking into the most cozy atmosphere, where real work gets done and lots of laughter. Julie is an exceptional instructor, she provides variations for poses, uses the right amount of props - which is many - to ease you into relaxation and release, or help to allow your spine to find its true length. Her attention to detail and hands on approach is so different than so many other classes/instructors I’ve experienced. I have back pain. Julie’s classes makes that pain less and less. And is teaching me that I can continue to find that ease. Sign up for a class or 10, go to a retreat… you’ll be happy.

November 08 · Eileen Quinn KaisikJulie’s space is beautiful. Her knowledge is incredible. I have been practicing yoga with Julie for 10 years. I look forward to any chance I get to practice with her. I always take something new away from each class I take with Julie. Thank you for sharing your space and your practice with us.
March 07 · Jen PuleoI’m so grateful to have stumbled into Julie’s studio. She is incredibly creative with her classes and offers such spaciousness for curiosity and play. Every time I leave a session I feel light and like I can breathe more fully. Looking forward to continuing my journey with Identity Yoga!
October 22 · Abigail GallantI stopped practicing for several years because of the pandemic, and I was pretty nervous to get back into yoga because I had lost so much strength and flexibility. But something Julie says all the time that made me feel right at home in her classes is "there's a reason it's called a practice." You don't need to be able to do all the classic yoga poses perfectly. In fact in some classes, we don't do any of the classic yoga poses at all! Every class is different and is about exploring how we can move to keep our bodies healthy using any prop or movement that gives you new information. (With a little bit of mindfulness on top.) It doesn't hurt that her studio is gorgeous and sometimes she has an adorable pup around to give you kisses after you say namaste.
