The heartfelt feedback from our community speaks volumes about the impact we have. One reviewer, a South Asian yogi, shared a powerful sentiment: "I’ve tried so many studios in the Chicago area and each time been disappointed. As a South Asian yogi, it’s surprisingly hard to find a studio that’s respectful AND impactful- honoring ALL 8 limbs of yoga. This studio is clean, welcoming, genuine and the teachers are top notch; incredibly educated, great communicators, and create wonderful flows that challenge without over-complicating. I’m so relieved and grateful to have found Half Moon! (Also the first month special is such a good deal??)" This testimonial perfectly captures our commitment to authenticity and inclusivity. It highlights our top-notch, well-educated teachers who are not only skilled communicators but also create thoughtful flows that are challenging yet accessible.
Another member, celebrating a significant milestone, wrote, "Just hit 100 classes at Half Moon and had to take a sec to say how much I appreciate this place. It’s been such a great spot for yoga and overall community in the South Loop." This illustrates the strong sense of community we have built, making our studio a true "home away from home" for many. The same reviewer also praised our class offerings, stating, "I’ve taken every class and they’re all great but Hot Glow is my favorite one tbh. The teachers are awesome and always bring good energy, a great playlist and the cues are perfect as a beginner or advanced too." This feedback underscores the quality of our group lessons, our instructors' ability to create a high-energy and engaging atmosphere, and their skill in providing clear, effective cues for all skill levels.

July 12 · aboywithabagWe recently had a yoga event for moms in different stages of motherhood at Half Moon Yoga, and the experience was truly wonderful. Our goal was to give moms a little pause in their day to relax and reconnect with themselves, and that was completely achieved thanks to the cozy, welcoming space and the thoughtful details the Half Moon Yoga team put in to make it special. The studio itself is warm, cozy, and relaxing, instantly putting you at ease the moment you walk in. Val, the owner, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful with every detail, making sure everything ran smoothly. The staff were so kind and professional that it never felt like a first-time visit. It truly felt like home. Our instructor, Nikki, was exceptional. She’s an expert in pre- and postnatal yoga and was so thoughtful and attentive, offering supportive options for moms at every stage of motherhood. The sound bath she led at the end of the session was deeply healing and left everyone feeling restored. Paola, who supported on the marketing side, was also kind and attentive throughout the event, and we truly appreciated her thoughtfulness in capturing moments and supporting us along the way.Every detail at Half Moon Yoga made our event so meaningful. We highly recommend them for yoga sessions and also look forward to hosting more events with them in the future!
August 19 · Almavie Postpartum CareHalf Moon absolutely gives the “home away from home” atmosphere. I used to live around the corner from the studio for a few years before they opened and always felt like the area was majorly missing a cozy little studio exactly like Half Moon. I recently moved back to the area & joined in January/February 2025, every class has been wonderful, the members/instructors have all been so warm and welcoming. I literally don’t think I could pick a favorite class, but I love that there’s an option for whatever you are looking for whether it be fast paced, moderate paced or restorative. Their recent addition of a mat pilates class has been incredible!
August 20 · Taylor KruppI love that Half Moon has become a haven, especially the Zen + Sound class, which is the treat I give myself for a well-lived week full of chaos and decisions. In this safe space I can let go of my thoughts and wallow in being at peace and with others who seek the same. I’m so glad they’re part of this great neighborhood!
