★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently injured my right hip with very painful results. Today, I worked with Angelina on early, gentle recovery toward healing....this is what I am feeling after that session:My legs and hip feel worked, but not painful - and I'm walking slightly closer to a normal gait...... Angelina's knowledge and healing skills are remarkable and so effective! I'm especially amazed at her keen observation of what is going on with my body while I'm in movement - which brings insight - motivating needed tweaks - that further healing. Angelina's gentle persistence and constant support lead me toward hope, and a sense that my body will heal if only I attend closely and let / help it.... which, of course - leads back to Pilates with Angelina!
February 08 · Paul F. SorensonI've been learning pilates and mindful movement from Angelina of Gravity & Grace for nearly a decade. Prior to starting, I was sustaining sports injuries with increased frequency, and lamenting what appeared to be a looming end to my sports-loving lifestyle. I quickly began learning that healthy sports longevity, and general joy and ease in movement, remained fully available to me. Angelina has been teaching me how ever sinceShe's helped me with many movement self-improvement projects (such as learning to handstand), focused me on areas of important change (currently foot and ankle mobility), fostered holistic integration of movement and breathing, and coached me on healthy core-based athletic movement that no sports-team coach I've ever had even bothered to mentionAngelina's talent for creating smart and effective workouts on the spot never ceases to amaze me. One week I might arrive in need of some sort of rehab. The next I might be feeling spry and wanting to build up heat and move athletically. And the next I might want to focus on a pet project (the aforementioned handstand). I simply arrive and say where I'm at, and in real time, she's created the session that's right for me.And as a total bonus, working with Angelina is fun!!!
July 03 · Scott FAngelina is easily the most talented, compassionate and gifted movement instructor I have ever known. I've taken yoga, various forms of dance, Pilates and other movement disciplines throughout my life. By far, Angelina has been the most helpful teacher in building a sustainable yoga practice and a healthy relationship with my body. Her Pilates expertise, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, deep self awareness and continual evolution as a human being brilliantly inform her instruction. Her classes are deeply nourishing as she teaches us to listen to our bodies and to be curious about what we experience in each moment. She teaches us how to be non-judgmental and non-competitive with our bodies. She gives highly attuned verbal cues, models how to ratchet up or ratchet down intensity for each pose, and blends individual needs into the flow of every class. I cannot recommend Angelina enough to all those who might be seeking a movement instructor. She is an inspiration and we are so lucky to have her in this field.
July 31 · Karena MarcumAgelina gets down to business when focusing on healing and trauma that is related to your body. Not only is she incredibly knowledgable about the human design and movement, she's a lovely inspiring human being. I started seeing her for some Sciatica issues I have deveolped. She gave me some exercizes to do at home and in between cleints when I am working. She also is very thorogh in explaining what you are working on. Her space is beautiful and very welcoming. Highly Recommended!
