What is worth choosing
For a New Yorker looking for a yoga studio, goodyoga offers a compelling mix of exceptional instruction and unique amenities that set it apart from the competition. While many studios in the city focus solely on the practice itself, goodyoga provides a complete wellness experience. The dual-space setup, with a peaceful indoor studio and a serene outdoor backyard, offers a versatility that is hard to find. The opportunity to relax in a hot tub or sauna after a class is a major draw, transforming a simple workout into a luxurious self-care ritual. This commitment to holistic well-being is a significant reason why customers feel so strongly about the studio.
The core strength of goodyoga, however, lies in its community and its inclusivity. The fact that it is a "transgender safespace" and "LGBTQ+ friendly" is not just a label but a reflection of its welcoming atmosphere. This is a place where you can feel secure and truly be yourself, which is a powerful motivator for consistent practice. The instructors are central to this experience, with their "warm presence" and "knowledgeable" guidance making every class a pleasure. As one customer review states, "Look no further, this is where you want to practice." This sentiment is shared by many who appreciate the clean, well-maintained space and the overall positive energy.
The convenience of being in the heart of Greenpoint and the studio's attention to accessibility features further solidifies its position as a top choice. The "appointment required" policy ensures that classes are managed to prevent overcrowding, allowing for a more intentional and focused practice. In a city where finding a gym or studio that feels like home can be a challenge, goodyoga provides a sense of belonging and a high-quality experience that makes every visit a pleasure. It is a place to practice yoga, but it is also a place to relax, connect with a supportive community, and truly take care of your body and mind.

June 16 · Laura McCarthyAbsolutely love this studio! Iv taken classes with Samantha, Sloan and Nicole and they are all incredible. The studio is right off of the G train at the greenpoint Ave stop so it’s easy to get to and from. The studio is beautiful and the owner Flannery is lovely as well. She recently purchased an infrared sauna and salt water hot tub that I can’t wait to use 🥰 Nicole’s 8 am Monday and Wednesday class is my favorite way to start my day. Iv been practicing for about a year now and never feel intimidated coming here and always feel I’m able to do a little more each class. My body feels strong, lean, and flexible thanks to these ladies!

April 04 · mariel feyWonderful experience. Drea is an excellent teacher with a soothing voice. You can tell she is very well practiced and cares about her students. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good stretch, but also interested in learning more about the mental and emotional aspects of yoga.

December 11 · Becky BushI had been searching for a local studio and after trying a couple that were pretty awful I found that goodyoga opened up nearby. I tried them with ClassPass and after have a great experience I signed up with them. The instructors seem to really care that you’re doing each pose correctly and the enviros very calming. Major plus is it’s a 5 minute walk from my house. Definitely one of the better studios in the area.

February 21 · Akasha JamesI found goodyoga via ClassPass when I was trying to get into yoga and was quite intimidated by all the hybrid exercise classes out there. I sampled a few different places, but ultimately kept coming back to goodyoga. Goodyoga has been a perfect introduction for a newcomer like me (I'm an irregular athlete trying to make it regular) while also being challenging for all levels and so welcoming. It is true yoga and I never feel self-conscious asking for guidance. The instructors are super approachable and inspiring. I used up my free month of CP and joined goodyoga the next day. The neg. reviews seem to be focused on customer service, but I have only ever experienced a lot of helpfulness. You need to keep in mind that there may not always be someone by the phone at a yoga studio.
