★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is as legit and historic as a boxing gym can be. Great equipment, plenty of space, and no nonsense coaching. This place oozes boxing culture.I was lucky enough to be able to book a session with Heather while I was visiting from Texas and had a great time! Highly recommend visiting if you love boxing.
July 09 · Eric CoronadoI’ve been training and fighting out of Gleason’s for two years. The gym has a program called “Veterans in the Ring,” that provides free membership for Veterans. This is my second home. The name “Gleason’s” demands respect and for good reason. It’s the home of Champions.
July 18 · Austin WalshGleason’s has the incredible reputation it does for a reason. It’s an amazing gym to work out in and an even more amazing community to be apart of. Everyone regardless of age, gender, ability, etc., is included and has a home at Gleason’s. Truly my favorite place. Team Heat forever 🔥
August 20 · Al KleeThis was an unexpected treat to walk in this gym and learn the past history.I wasn't expecting much, But what I received was a Warm and Super Friendly Welcome, With a lot of T Shirts available. This ended up being one of the highlights of this trip.
August 10 · Cave ManDo visit, don’t work out there. The gym is very cool, definitely worth visiting.I went there twice, once I got the one day pass and worked out on my own, which was okay. The second time I decided to go with a trainer. It was a very good workout but we agreed on a half hour workout, he went on for an hour (I couldn’t see the time) and then made me pay for it. I would probably have bought a sweatshirt with that money, so it’s their loss but it felt like a scam and it was not a nice experience. So despite being a cool sanctuary of boxing, it is not a good place to work out. They’re just in for the money. Other gyms I visited were way more welcoming and less pricey. The lady at the front desk was super kind though.UPDATE: the owner replied to this comment of mine saying he’d be glad to refund me. I have written an email to him. Many months have gone by, got no reply. I do believe it was just to show off on Google.I stand by what I said: it has become a money-making factory, sport has little place in it. Still historically beautiful.
