Restroom: The availability of clean and well-maintained restrooms is an important amenity, ensuring comfort and convenience for all participants and visitors. A user review notes the girls' bathroom is always clean, a testament to the gym's attention to basic, yet crucial, details.
Community-Focused Environment: Known as a safe haven for kids in the South Bronx and Harlem, the gym's mission is to provide more than just a place to play. It's a place where children are encouraged to grow, learn, and develop as individuals. This is a core value that is evident in the friendly staff and supportive atmosphere noted by a customer.
Iconic and Historic Status: The gym's legacy as the home of the New York Gauchos, a program that has produced numerous professional athletes, gives it a unique and respected place in the history of New York basketball. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have enjoyed watching my son develop and hone his basketball skills. The coaches at Gauchos gym summer camp and the weekend development program have been instrumental to his growth and developing his love for the game even more. I love that my son is engaging with his peers and working hard to improve his skill sets. He has a goal and a passion which is solely his own and that is the biggest gift ever,
December 29 · Olanike OyeyemiVery friendly staff! All patrons wear a mask. No complaints! The coaches are amazing! Girls bathroom is always clean, boys bathroom a little stinky! Overall, great place, and super cool environment!!!
January 06 · Lisa WatsonThey don't ever answer their phones, return emails, or call back when a message is left. The communication is lacking and they don't seem very organized. There should be orientations for summer camps especially for new campers and parents. There should be a regular administrative staff that can take call and answer questions. I heard that it's a decent gym but really the lack of communication makes me not want to spend my hard earn money there. The Bronx has to really come up and prove we have great programs for our youth with adequate team work with parents and kids. Makes me not mind paying higher prices in Manhattan because there I know they will always have someone readily available for parents and campers.
June 15 · N ReyThey have a very nice Easter event for the kids. You have to pay to get in, great time had by all.
April 01 · Isiah WarrenThis was my son's first time participating in Gauchos winter cycle and he enjoyed himself so much, I registered him for spring cycle.
