FLEX - Buzzard Point Introduce
For residents of Washington, D.C.'s vibrant Buzzard Point neighborhood and surrounding areas, finding a fitness center that combines top-tier equipment with a dedicated focus on training and recovery can be a challenge. FLEX - Buzzard Point offers a unique and modern solution, aiming to be a premier destination for those who are serious about their health and fitness journey. This isn't your average commercial gym; it's a specialized hub designed for high-performance training and holistic wellness.
The core philosophy of FLEX is centered on providing a comprehensive fitness and recovery experience. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art strength and conditioning equipment, catering to both elite-level athletes and top-tier fitness professionals. At the same time, it’s designed to be accessible and effective for anyone looking to make a meaningful change in their physical health. The unique hybrid training model, combined with an emphasis on both the workout and the recovery process, sets it apart from many traditional gyms. It's a place where you can get a challenging session in and then properly restore your body, ensuring you’re ready for the next one.
It is worth noting that some public feedback has highlighted issues with communication and access, suggesting that the gym primarily caters to residents of the building where it's located. However, for those who can navigate the sign-up process, the facility and its offerings have been designed to be of a high caliber. For non-residents, it is imperative to confirm accessibility and membership options before making a commitment.
FLEX - Buzzard Point is located at 101 V St SW, Washington, DC 20024, USA. Situated in the heart of the developing Buzzard Point neighborhood, the facility is part of a dynamic area that is experiencing significant growth and transformation. It is steps away from major attractions like Nationals Park and Audi Field. The location is easily accessible for residents of the building it is housed in, and for those in the surrounding communities. However, as noted in public reviews, access for non-residents can be difficult due to the gym's residential nature.
The gym is located within the "The Stacks" development, which is becoming a hub for living, working, and leisure. This prime location is a key feature for residents of the complex, who are reported to receive complimentary basic memberships as part of their living agreement. For any potential member not residing in the building, it is highly recommended to call ahead or book a tour to verify access procedures.

Given the public feedback, a phone call is highly recommended to confirm a membership or book a tour before visiting in person.
For a local user in Washington, D.C., the decision to join a fitness center comes down to a balance of quality, convenience, and a good fit for their needs. From a purely amenities-based perspective, FLEX - Buzzard Point has a lot to offer. The combination of state-of-the-art equipment, a variety of classes, and a premium recovery suite is a compelling package. The availability of services like a sauna and cold plunge, which are not standard at every gym, makes it a powerful option for those who prioritize both training and post-workout recovery.
The gym's focus on hybrid training and strength and conditioning also makes it a valuable choice for anyone looking for a more structured and results-oriented approach to fitness. The existence of dedicated spaces for different activities, from yoga to HIIT, means you can diversify your routine and avoid the monotony that often comes with a fitness routine.
However, it is impossible to ignore the significant public feedback regarding the gym's logistical and communication issues. The challenges reported by potential members—specifically the difficulty in contacting staff, arranging access, and dealing with what appears to be an unstaffed facility for non-residents—are a major consideration. It is a gym that seems to be a phenomenal amenity for residents of the apartment building but presents considerable hurdles for those outside of that community. For those who can overcome these challenges, or for residents of The Stacks, the facility offers a truly top-tier fitness and wellness experience right at their doorstep. For anyone else, the potential benefits must be weighed against the reported difficulties in access and communication.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been trying to sign up and go here for a month now but they have no way to contact them, they don’t respond to any emails there’s no phone number I’ve even tried to go in person and the apartment building doesn’t even know how to contact them. You can’t even sign up and pay them money so I can only imagine how awful the experience would be once signing up.
August 14 · Nathan FeldmanThis is an apartment gym, that's it. Literally no one works here and if you don't live here you can't get in. No one ever answers the phone. The sauna isn't on. The selection of equipment is poor. Music is bad. As far as I'm concerned it's a scam gym. The app says you need to reserve time for open gym and if you cancel within 12 hours they charge you $15. Except no one works there so you won't be able to get in the gym anyway. I only got in once because the apartment concierge let me in, but he can't do that every time.
