FitNest Introduce
For residents of La Vista and the greater Omaha area who are looking for a unique and adventurous way to get fit, FitNest offers a one-of-a-kind gym experience. Far from the traditional weight rooms and cardio machines, FitNest is Nebraska's first and only American Ninja Warrior-style facility. It's a place where fitness is not a chore but a challenge, and where fun and physical conditioning go hand-in-hand. While many gyms focus on building strength, FitNest is dedicated to helping individuals of all ages build a combination of physical strength, mental grit, and problem-solving skills through a dynamic obstacle course.
This facility is designed to promote a positive and encouraging environment where people can push their limits, set goals, and achieve them in a way that is both exciting and rewarding. The concept of an American Ninja Warrior gym, which was brought to life in Omaha by owner Jeff Cauble, a personal trainer and coach with over 20 years of experience, is about more than just physical prowess. It’s about building a strong body, a strong mind, and a supportive community. This article will provide you with an in-depth look at what FitNest has to offer, from its unique services to its accessibility and what makes it a different choice from a standard gym in Nebraska.
FitNest is conveniently located at 7009 S 109th St, La Vista, NE 68128, USA. This location makes it easily accessible for families and individuals throughout La Vista and the surrounding Omaha metropolitan area. Situated in a practical and easy-to-find spot, it allows for a smooth commute, which is crucial when adding a new activity to your family's busy schedule.
The facility demonstrates a commitment to accessibility by offering a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot. This ensures that the venue can accommodate a wide range of visitors, making it an inclusive space for everyone. The presence of restrooms and other basic amenities further adds to the convenience and comfort of the experience, ensuring that participants and guests have what they need during their visit. While a few reviews have mentioned concerns regarding the upkeep of the facilities, these accessibility features are in place to make the gym as welcoming as possible.
Services Offered
- Obstacle Course Training: As Nebraska's only American Ninja Warrior-style facility, FitNest's core service is its obstacle course. The course is designed with a range of difficulties, from beginner to more advanced, making it suitable for both children (aged 8 and up) and adults. Participants can challenge themselves on famous obstacles inspired by the popular TV show.
- Open Gym Sessions: FitNest offers open gym sessions, which are a flexible way for individuals to come in and train on the obstacles at their own pace. This is ideal for those who want to practice specific skills, improve their time on the course, or just enjoy a fun and challenging workout on their own terms.
- Private Lessons: While not explicitly detailed in the public information, it is a common practice for such gyms to offer private lessons. This would allow an individual to receive one-on-one coaching with a trainer to work on specific techniques, form, or to prepare for a competition.
- Birthday Parties and Group Events: FitNest is a popular venue for unique and memorable birthday parties and group events. The facility offers private parties where a group can have a coached and guided experience on the obstacle course. A trained staff member is typically on hand to guide the participants through the course and help them learn proper techniques.

What is Worth Choosing
For individuals and families in the La Vista area, FitNest offers a very different and exciting alternative to a conventional gym. The primary reason to choose this facility is its unique American Ninja Warrior concept. It provides a full-body workout that is both fun and challenging, making it an excellent option for those who get bored with a traditional gym routine. It’s an ideal way to improve strength, agility, and coordination in a dynamic environment.
However, it is also important for potential customers to be aware of the feedback from real customer reviews. While the concept is fantastic, recent reviews have raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, as well as the delivery of promised services for hosted events. The descriptions of a "filthy" environment with deteriorating mats and a lack of staff guidance for parties are significant red flags that prospective visitors should consider. While the owners may be passionate, a gym's environment and safety are paramount. For those interested in the unique workout style, it would be wise to visit the facility in person before committing to a membership or booking an event, to ensure that the current condition meets their standards for cleanliness and professionalism. If the facility has since addressed these issues, the unique concept and positive culture make it a worthwhile option for anyone looking for a fresh and challenging fitness experience in Nebraska.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had my son’s birthday party here and let me tell you the website pictures are very deceiving. When we booked the birthday party, it said that we would have a host to show us how to use the obstacles that did not happen. We were told the kids could just run around and play no instruction. The websites FAQs, even state that there would be a trained assistant to help out the kids not just some free for all. The party room and the bathrooms were extremely filthy. When the party was over, as we are gathering our things we watched whoever was supposed to be working take the tablecloth that was covered with cake and pizza swing it in the air and put it right back down on the table. Now I understand why the room is so filthy. Please do not waste your money at this establishment!
November 09 · PHThis once clean and fun ninja warrior gym has seen much better days. I was embarrassed to hold my daughter's birthday party there. The entire place was filthy. The bathroom had only half a toilet seat. There were cobwebs and trash everywhere. And the mats were deteriorating so much to the point where everyone walked out with chunks of foam throughout their hair.I'm sure the owners are struggling and I feel bad leaving this review, but people should be aware what they're getting into if they book a party there.
February 07 · Trisha MeuretThis place is fantastic! My son is a scrawny 7 year old and struggles with about half of the obstacles. However, the instructors are great at helping the kids with their technique whole they are building strength. If you are enrolled in a class you are able to attend their "open play" for free. Otherwise anyone can attend for $10.
January 29 · Teri ClarkWe just had my son's birthday party there and it was absolutely amazing. The two guys (Jeff and Jayden) running the party dealt very well with more than 15 crazy kids. They were both so nice and fun and they made the birthday boy feel special. I would highly recommend this place for a birthday party. The kids all had a blast and will be sleeping very well tonight! We will be going back to conquer the warp wall and salmon ladder! Great workout - great time - great party!!
November 12 · Shannon HowardMy kids and I had so much fun here! I'll be sore tomorrow! The owner is very knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging. Plenty of obstacles to wear yourself out. Those folks on TV make it look easy. It's not!!! But it sure is fun to try!
