★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you want that gritty, loud, old school gym feel, then look no further. This gym fits this mold but has modern benches and racks. Great service, great people, and a great feel. 10/10 will come back next time I’m in the area. Probably the only type of fitness enthusiast/athlete that won’t like this place is cardio bunnies. But it’s a great place for them to convert to bodybuilding, powerlifting, or strongman. Very happy I found this place for my week stay in Dubuque. Just wish I had bought a shirt from this place so I could rep it at my home gym.
May 24 · Jarrett BerryCan not beat the value. However. There's little cardio equipment available so an additional planet fitness membership would be necessary if I were to move to Iowa full time. But the equipment is all there, everything works, definatly an environment for growth and hard work. I would not go here if you're just looking for something to do. This gym is for people who have goals, want to grow and reach them, and then set new goals and reach new heights.
February 28 · Matthew SpurginGreat gym with a great cause. Friendly, open environment for lifters of all skill and experience levels. Access to competition spec powerlifting and strong man equipment. September 09 · Matt Tyson"Stepping into the 'Earned Not Given Barbell Gym' feels like entering a superhero training ground—minus the capes, but with just as much power! It's a place where grunts of determination harmonize with the clinks of iron, creating a symphony that motivates even the most reluctant gym-goer to unleash their inner Hulk. The atmosphere? Think less 'gym' and more 'temple of gains.' The moment you walk through those doors, you're welcomed by a battalion of dumbbells standing at attention, ready to turn mere mortals into muscle-bound warriors. The walls are adorned not with motivational posters, but with portraits of sweat-drenched champions conquering their personal bests, inspiring you to push yourself beyond limits you never knew existed. And let's talk about the community vibe! It's not just a gym; it's a family of iron aficionados, where high-fives and fist bumps are the currency of encouragement. You'll find yourself surrounded by fellow fitness fanatics who cheer you on during those last grueling reps and celebrate your victories as if you've just saved the world from an invasion of couch potatoes. In summary, if you're looking for a place where sweat, determination, and a sprinkle of magic converge to sculpt the body of your dreams, 'Earned Not Given Barbell Gym' is your superhero headquarters. Fair warning: You might just leave feeling like a superhero yourself!"
