February 22 · Eric FeazelUnfortunately, I won’t be returning to this studio after a particularly hostile and chaotic class last month with the owner, Bailey. Over the course of the class, she got increasingly agitated with us and started yelling (genuinely yelling) at us for doing things wrong and not listening to her cues — even though she really wasn’t offering clear cues. She spent most of the class complaining about how much she hates owning the studio, how much debt she’s in, and how much she hates her husband. She picked on one girl in particular so much that the student burst into tears and we had to stop class. It was atrocious. I am bummed that I won’t be able to support this local business in my neighborhood but I don’t want to spend money to be berated.
August 15 · Meagan Hatcher-MaysBest studio hands DOWN! Owner is attentive and instructors are the best in the city and I’ve been to pretty much every Reformer studio in DC. Highly reccomend.
May 19 · Stacey WoodsDistrict Pilates is my favorite pilates studio in the area. All of the instructors are kind and they made me feel comfortable (especially when I was new). I love the vibe they’ve created and all of the class offerings. I cannot recommend this place enough for people looking to expand their fitness routines!
March 12 · Camille DykesA lot of potential for this place! They have a great locale, not many other studios in this area. Their website is a pain to navigate on a phone. It's also quite easy to accidentally sign up for a class in their Shaw location. They don't refund after you make this mistake, which they informed me happens all the time. They should improve accessibility by updating website, getting an app, or integrating with ClassPass.I signed up for 5 classes with a beginner package special. I went to schedule my 2 remaining classes a month after purchasing and they were gone! The paid classes should not expire so quickly. Sad to have wasted so much money, esp. since I missed another with the Shaw booking accident. I hope they can improve and remain open!
