First, there is a sense of family and acceptance as soon you walk in the doors. Madeline immediately welcomes you in and Rusty asks what your goals. From there all the members greet you. Second, class available times makes attending class easier for us who work long and or odd hours. Third, support they want you to achieve your goals and will stop at nothing to make it happen. I attended for 2-3 years but had to discontinue my membership due to work schedule. Afterwards the CrossFit York members reached out asking about how life and fitness goals were going. Madeline even offered coaching for the ultra marathon i was training for that year and the following years. As a newcomer, I remember being very intimidated by the sounds of crashing weights and I didn’t think this was going to be for me. Fortunately, the amazing coaches and fellow gym members were so friendly and outgoing that I stuck with it. Throughout these past 2.5 years I have learned to push and take care of myself at the same time. No matter what skill level you are at, there’s fellow athletes cheering you on without judgement. The coaches here are all incredibly knowledgeable and can break down a simple movement step by step for better understanding. This is more than a gym, it’s a family full of people that will see you at your worst and will be there supporting you at your best. This is a family I am proud to be a small part of 💪🏻
