★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been a member at 6 different affiliates (if you count new ownership and new location of the same affiliate a separate membership ) over the last 8 years I’ve been living in the city of Chicago. As my former affiliate was closing permanently, looking for another affiliate was daunting and also just exhausting for me. Having done this process several times over the years, it wasn’t on my bingo card for 2025. My first class at PR was a Saturday and if you know CrossFit you know partner workout Saturdays are chaotic (but oh so fun!). LJ, the owner and coach of that class was calm and took his time orienting a group of us new comers. Having been at this affiliate for over a month, I can say my first impression was spot on. Great coaching, great overall energy, lots of friendly, diverse members (people of all ages and ethnicities), the programming is challenging, and it’s a nice clean spot with easy parking. They have a lot of class times with 5 and 6 am being pretty popular, which makes a workout before work possible for me as I am a RN working 12s. This gym has been around for a while and it speaks to the dedication and passion of LJ and his team as well as the adherence to the CrossFit methodology. I would recommend this to those who have never done CrossFit ever in their lives or even to advanced athletes looking for a family to support them as they train hard. 💪🫶🏻

This place has been perfect for getting back into my routine. The coaches are top-notch — super patient, professional, and really know their stuff. Big shoutout to Laurel for helping me fine-tune my form! Getting up for a 5 AM class is definitely tough, but the awesome community here makes it so much easier. Everyone’s super friendly and supportive, and it really keeps you motivated. The facility is clean, spacious, and set up perfectly for both group classes and individual work. Couldn’t have found a better spot to start fresh!

June 07 · Ciro CamposCrossFit Park Ridge is easily one of the best gyms I’ve ever been part of. The environment is super motivating and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the energy. The community is amazing! Everyone’s friendly, encouraging, and genuinely wants to see each other succeed.The programming is excellent. It’s well thought out, challenging, and can be adapted to any fitness level. You’ll get stronger, faster, and more confident with every workout. The coaches are great too! knowledgeable, supportive, and always paying attention to form and safety.The equipment is in great condition and really well taken care of. The space is clean, organized, and there’s even a good outdoor area for runs, which adds something extra to the workouts.One thing I really appreciate is how many class times they offer. There are a lot of early morning options, which makes it easy to stay consistent no matter what your schedule looks like.Overall, this is a great place to train, meet solid people, and push yourself. If you’re thinking about trying CrossFit or switching gyms, I highly recommend!
July 21 · Manny MagbanuaI joined CFPR to get back into a strength routine September 2019.As a busy mom of twins it is easy to get all consumed with my kids needs and agenda. Reaching out to a dear friend and Chicago Barbell member she highly recommended I check out CFPR . I was quickly embraced by the community as were my children which is HUGE! I have been to other CF gyms who are not as accommodating to younger children. LJ and Gerard are always quick to answer questions and give top notch coaching on form and technique. All of the coaches on staff are genuine and come with a variety of competitive and sports knowledge. I found this gym to be comprehensive as several formats are offered. If you are nervous about a full on CF work out no problem they have it covered BootFit or PR30 is the class for you. I love to cycle and PR spin (30 min) is a great way warm up to a full work out class or if you are in a time crunch. Yoga, well they have that too.The facility is clean, orderly and spacious. They take care to service the equipment making sure its all in top working order. Need some tweaking after a workout they have partnered with Unbroken Rehab and Fred is amazing. Being a mom and "older" athlete its nice to have someone to talk to on how to adapt a workout if my body isn't cooperating or assistance in additional supplemental exercises to support my gym workouts.And back to my babies they love the gym as well. They actually look forward to going because of the staff and they participate in the CF kids on Sundays. If you have an unlimited membership you can enjoy all of these amenities plus access to open gym time if you need. Oh yes and if they don't have it no problem you also get a special discounted monthly rate at the Barbell Compound as a CrossFit member. I like to use the heavy bags and some of the plate loaded machines at Barbell. I am sure by now you can tell I am a big fan and can't wait to get back to my regularly scheduled workouts....OH yes this community has some fun Competitions and group outings too ---So stop in to say HI and get your sweat on. .... You will love it I promise.
