★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This establishment is nasty. I would not recommend going here. The contract is insane. At first I thought it was a great experience. However, as a student I did not have time to go to classes. They don't allow any unused class to rollover, if you don't complete them in a timely fashion you will never get the money back for those classes. Knowing this I paused my membership and planned to cancel it after. They have a rule where you cannot cancel it after being paused you have to pay another month again. Forget about if you don't cancel it in time, they will charge you.Being a student I had other things to pay for but waited for my card to reload so I can pay for that. They have been threatening me with sending a $139 payment to collections after 9 days. In their contract they send payments to collections 90+ days after not receiving a payment. They have been ringing my phone down and sending text and trying to charge my card 2-3 times a day. I have no issue with sending a text to ask for payment however, threatening your clients with false information is insane. I wish I could decline to give them this payment after this treatment. This will be the last time they get any money from me. They have gotten a ton out of me for classes I never used and threaten their clients with false information. They are a money hungry organization. And have nasty attitudes as well. Please look at these reviews before you even consider going to this place. I wish I saw these bad reviews before I started a membership. I've been a member since September and wish I stopped earlier.
July 31 · Niya HenrySince the day I joined Club Pilates East Meadow, I felt so at home and comfortable there! The staff and instructors are so welcoming and created such a calm and safe space. Each class was so impactful and so fun! I will always recommend this studio!!
August 11 · Kelsey LarinAll those girls aren’t there to help you and the company isn’t truthful when they say they care about the members. Good facility and great equipment, just for show. The classes are okay. It seems like they are heavily trained on the sales pitch but no one there has voice to do what’s right for a client depending on their situation, uncooperative staff - they will non-stop call and text you. Lousy Corporate Pilates.
April 09 · Julie VetterI had a very frustrating experience with Dana when I tried to sign up for a Pilates class with my mom. I had already registered for the East Meadow location, which is only a 13-minute drive from my home. However, Dana asked if I was interested in another location, which confused me. When I mentioned Merrick, she insisted that we should go there instead. I was baffled, as I was already signed up for East Meadow and had no intention of changing. I voiced that I still want to go to the East Meadow location and she kept implying not to.The people at the front desk and on the phone play a crucial role in creating the first impression of a business, and unfortunately, this experience has left a negative one for me. I don’t understand why she didn’t promote the location I was interested in. Because of this interaction, I won’t be returning to Club Pilates. Very unprofessional and disgusting attitude.
April 12 · Kiara SpeightI was met with an unwelcoming attitude before I even had the chance to walk through the doors. Whether it was because I don’t live in East Meadow or something else entirely—perhaps even my name—I’m not sure. But the response I received when simply trying to sign up for a workout class was incredibly rude and off-putting. I’ve never encountered such an uncomfortable experience just trying to join a fitness program.
