Chicago Center-Body Movement Introduce
For nearly two decades, Chicago Center-Body Movement has stood as a beacon of specialized fitness in the city's bustling West Loop. This is not your typical sports complex or a run-of-the-mill gym; it is a dedicated studio for personal training and mindful movement, with a deep-rooted expertise in Pilates and the unique Gyrotonic method. The philosophy here is centered on the body's natural ability to heal and move with freedom and vitality, regardless of age or physical history. At the heart of the studio is founder and master trainer, Davi Edlebeck, whose passion and profound knowledge of the body have earned her a reputation as one of the best teachers in the country. Clients come to Chicago Center-Body Movement seeking relief from chronic pain, improved mobility, and a more intuitive relationship with their bodies. The personalized approach ensures that every session is tailored to the individual's specific needs, helping them to address issues like migraines, sciatica, and hip dysplasia, as highlighted by long-term clients. The studio creates a peaceful and safe space where clients can learn how to move in a centered and connected way, fostering a newfound strength and confidence that extends far beyond the studio walls. It is a place where every movement is intentional and designed to promote healing and long-term wellness.
What sets Chicago Center-Body Movement apart is its dual expertise in Pilates and the lesser-known but incredibly powerful Gyrotonic method. While Pilates focuses on core strength and linear movement, Gyrotonic uses a specialized pulley and weight system to facilitate fluid, circular, and spiraling movements that decompress the spine and articulate the joints. This integrated approach allows for a comprehensive and balanced workout that addresses a wide range of physical issues. The glowing reviews from clients, many of whom have been with the studio for years, are a testament to the transformative results they have experienced. From becoming pain-free and stronger to improving posture and gaining a deeper body awareness, the benefits are both immediate and long-lasting. The studio's commitment to creating a safe and encouraging environment is evident in the way trainers listen to their clients and help them "find their own answers" through movement. This deep level of care and personalized attention is what makes Chicago Center-Body Movement a true gem in the Chicago fitness landscape, a place where people don't just work out—they heal, learn, and grow.
Chicago Center-Body Movement is conveniently located at 2140 W Fulton St D, Chicago, IL 60612, USA. Situated in the West Town neighborhood, just a short distance from the bustling West Loop, the studio is easily accessible from various parts of the city. The location on Fulton Street, a key thoroughfare, makes it a practical destination for residents and those who commute to the area. While a sports complex might imply a need for a large parking lot, this studio operates on a more intimate scale, and its location in an urban environment means it is well-served by Chicago's extensive public transportation network, including CTA buses and nearby 'L' train stations. This makes it a convenient option for those who live in the city and prefer to travel without a car.
Beyond its geographical convenience, the studio is committed to physical accessibility. It features a wheelchair accessible restroom, a crucial amenity that ensures a more welcoming and comfortable experience for clients with mobility needs. This thoughtful design element aligns with the studio's overall mission of inclusivity and personal care. The clean and focused environment provides a space free from the distractions of a large, busy gym, allowing clients to fully immerse themselves in their practice. The combination of a central Chicago location and a dedicated focus on physical and functional accessibility makes Chicago Center-Body Movement a practical and welcoming choice for a diverse clientele seeking specialized movement training in the Illinois region.

Furthermore, the studio’s specialization in both Pilates and Gyrotonic provides a unique and comprehensive path to wellness. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been going to Chicago Center for Body Movement since it opened almost 20 years ago. I originally went to get some relief for migraines, sciatica and dysplasia in my hip. I was introduced to gyrotonic there and worked with Davi. Her knowledge of the body, passion and of gyrotonic and Pilates is amazing. I always feel so good afterwards and my body is so much more mobile. It’s really helped with migraines and alleviating the pain in my hip. I absolutely love it and have continued to go. I’ve done Pilates and gyrotonic all over the country as I’ve moved around a lot in the past ten years and still find her to be one of the best teachers in the country because she listens and knows how to use so many pieces of equipment for my body.
February 21 · Rebecka SextonI have been coming to Chicago Center for Body Movement for almost a year now. When I first started working with Davi I was experiencing pain and limited range of motion in my shoulder, foot and hip on my left side. It was hard for me to sit or stand comfortably for an extended amount of time. My alignment was off and my body was starting to spiral in.After my first session with Davi my body felt amazing, I had more space, I was excited, intrigued and I knew that I wanted to do more. I have been coming regularly two times a week for the last year. Davi has taught me how to move my body in a centered and connected way. I am stronger than I have ever been, I am able to access deep muscles in my core I didn’t even know existed, my posture has improved, I’m a little taller and for the most part I am pain free.My experience in working with Davi is that she is passionate about her work, and helping her clients move pain free in their bodies at any age. She is intuitive, extremely talented and a master of her craft with a strong understanding of movement, the body and its ability to heal itself. She works with you and creates a safe space for you to learn and find your own answers.I am even more excited today about the possibilities of my own body and movement than I was that first day. Everything about my body and my relationship with my body has changed and I can’t wait for my appointments each week. The body truly is amazing and I would highly recommend working with Davi to find what is possible for you !
July 10 · Kristine AndersonI have been using Chicago Center for Bpdy Movement electric grounding and earthing products for several months now and have noticed a significant improvement in both my mental and physical well-being. The earthing mat, in particular, has helped me to reduce my stress levels and improve my sleep quality. I also find that my energy levels are more stable throughout the day. Physically, I have noticed a decrease in muscle tension and pain. Overall, I highly recommend giving electric grounding and earthing a try. It's a natural and non-invasive way to improve your overall health and well-being.
