Choosing a gym or fitness center is a decision that often comes down to balancing a facility's offerings with your personal or family's needs. The Centennial Fitness Center in Park Ridge presents a compelling option for those seeking a more comprehensive, community-focused experience. The center's most significant strength is its wide range of amenities. The availability of both a gym and an indoor swimming pool, basketball court, and volleyball court means that a single membership can satisfy multiple fitness and recreational interests for different family members. This versatility is a major selling point for those who want a one-stop location for their health and wellness activities. The ability to host special events, such as birthday parties in the outdoor pool, further highlights its role as a versatile community space. The staff's willingness to accommodate special requests, like allowing glow sticks for a pool party, demonstrates a level of customer service that creates memorable experiences for members.
However, potential members should be mindful of the facility's scheduling and operational policies. The fact that access to certain amenities, like open gym time or the swimming pool, can be limited due to pre-scheduled leagues or events is a point of concern for some families. This can lead to frustration if you arrive expecting to use a certain facility, only to find it is unavailable. This is an important consideration for families with children who rely on a consistent schedule for their activities. It is highly recommended to check the facility's online schedule or call ahead, especially on weekends or school holidays, to confirm availability. Despite these scheduling challenges, for many in the community, the sheer breadth of activities and the friendly, accommodating staff make the Centennial Fitness Center a worthwhile choice, particularly for those who prioritize a multi-faceted approach to fitness and recreation for their entire family. The combination of a gym with a full suite of recreational facilities offers a value that is hard to find in a more specialized fitness center.

β 5β 4β 3β 2β 1We just had an amazing party in the outdoor pool for our girls birthdays! The staff and lifeguards were AMAZING! We were allowed to bring nontoxic waterproof glow sticks to throw into the pool that night and I think that was the kids favorite part of the whole party! It was so cute because they kept adorning the lifeguards with glow sticks as well because they wanted them to have as much fun as they were. π.
August 05 Β· Claire TThis place is poorly run. A couple weeks ago the schools were closed on Friday. Took the kids to go swimming to find out they can't swim until 5:00 pm. Had everyone stuffed on one basketball court so 4 people could play pickleball on the other court. Went there this Saturday to play basketball with my son because the online schedule said it was an open gym all day. Get there to find out the gym was closing in 30 minutes due to a basketball league. This place is very restrictive for families.
March 15 Β· Michael CluckAqua Zumba with Lucie A. and the friendly people on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. is the highlight of my very stressful week. π«π€π πͺ I was so sad that I couldn't make the class this morning.Lucie is passionate, personable, and dedicated in making sure we get the best workout and have fun too. Love the music and vibe each week. Sometimes I feel like I am on vacation. βοΈπ³οΈππΊIf you are feeling lonely, stressed, in need of a healthy break and need some movement try this class with an excellent instructor, fun people and lively music.P.s. It's not swimming and coordination is not required. Trust me I know. π€π€π
April 16 Β· Carolyn DikeThe Gym is outstanding, and the racquetball courts are great. Itβs awesome that they have everything there. The Neighbor hood has a great facility in this.
April 14 Β· Dontavious IIIGood enough gym for a one-time thing. Just so you know, NON resident is $15 for a day pass. On the phone someone told me $10 and I had to really argue with them until they caved and gave me the $10 pass, because that's what I was told. But miscommunication is to be expected when you have a bunch of teenagers working a venue. So just be cautious of that and other things if you ever have to call for answers.
