★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Bodywise is exceptional! Leslie, the owner, is very knowledgeable and in tune with her clients bodies. She really notices every movement, large or small, and enables you to correct your body to improve it. I would recommend this studio to anyone!!!
August 11 · Amanda WachsteinI am new to Pilates and did a ton of research ahead of time to find a studio and instructors who were classically trained. I have chronic spine & joint issues and Leslie has been phenomenal. She’s kind, compassionate, gives clear guidance, adapts what we are doing to my body and consistently checks in to make sure that I’m comfortable. I am so thankful to have found Bodywise and look forward to continuing on my Pilates journey.
August 09 · Julianne BabioneIt's not easy to find pilates studios that actually follow "the method", rather than trying to reinvent it into a fitness trend. Leslie is an amazing teacher with great insights about adaptations/adjustments and by far the most useful and effective prompts I've had in 20+ years of studying pilates - she really knows what she's doing. Can't recommend the studio enough to those who are serious about the "real" approach.
August 09 · Elizabeth De SantoI don’t think Lancaster understands the gem they have in this studio that is true classical Pilates with legendary pedigree. I had the privilege of apprenticing with Leslie at Bodywise while I was in my Pilates certification program. I was also able to take privates with her to continue learning and both were invaluable experiences! She has the best energy and is so caring, patient, kind and supportive. She’s just a fantastic teacher who knows what your body needs and, she KNOWS Pilates. I say this because in this day and age, when anything and everything is called Pilates, it’s not always easy to find legit teachers and legit Pilates. Leslie is the real deal. She is actually true to the craft- she is teaching the true Pilates that your doctors and physical therapists are telling you to go to. I’ve since moved out of the area and am teaching in NYC, but the things I learned from Leslie have proven invaluable to me, not only as a student of Pilates, but also as a Pilates teacher. If you ever have the opportunity to go to this studio, consider yourself very fortunate and GO!
August 09 · Harper LaBrozziI started my Pilates journey almost 15 years ago in another state with a classically-trained, Romana’s certified instructor. When I moved to PA I specifically sought out a studio/instructor of the same caliber. After trying a few places, I met Leslie. In our first conversation over 5 years ago I told her what I was looking for and she responded, ‘I’m classically trained!’ It was like we were speaking the same language. I have followed Leslie as she has moved spaces, creating a bigger and better studio. I’ve had individual instruction, duets, and various classes with Leslie. She is the real deal! She was trained by a well renowned and respected studio. Don’t be fooled or settle for ‘Pilates-inspired’ workouts that aren’t true to the philosophy and could do your body more harm than good. If you REALLY want to learn true Pilates the way Joseph Pilates intended (and you do!), go see Leslie at Bodywise.
