★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1When you book a class, you will get a confirmation email immediately that states the date, time, and instructor you booked with. However, if for some reason that instructor changes, Body Bar does not notify their customers that the instructor has changed. Instead, you find out via the text they send one hour prior to class and it simply states “we are excited to see you for your class with *insert new instructors name*” The catch is, if you try to then cancel, you lose out on your credit. How is this fair to the paying customers who choose their specific instructor? It’s very discouraging and honestly makes me feel taken advantage of as a customer. I respect and value transparency, especially as a customer who has spent their hard earned money here. Unfortunately, they stated they are currently unable to do anything about this. While management did state they will bring this up to the owners, which I’m hoping they do, I’m posting to warn potential future customers that this lack of transparency exists and may still exist when you start your membership. Explore other options or ask questions before signing up. Partially my fault for assuming that transparency with customers should be a natural component to running a business.
September 08 · MayaSo good! Excellent instructors and a very caring vibe. They always remember me which makes me feel great and they are super helpful if you need modifications for pregnancy or arthritis. I love Body Bar!
September 05 · Kimberly LohrI’ve been practicing Pilates for over 20 years, with certifications in both mat and reformer, and have attended many studios across different cities. Body Bar Pilates stands out for the creativity they allow their instructors—it keeps classes fresh, dynamic, and keeps your body guessing in all the right ways. The workouts here are truly challenging, definitely more intense than other studios in town, and I appreciate that they don’t water things down. That said, I do wish there was more attention paid to flow and modification. Some of the newer instructors, while enthusiastic, tend to pack in everything without considering transitions or offering alternatives for those newer to Pilates or working with limitations. There’s room for growth in cueing and inclusivity, especially for more seasoned clients. A broader mix of experience levels among staff could bring even more depth to an already strong studio.Still, Body Bar offers a solid workout with energy and style—and I’ll keep coming back for that burn.
