Blossom Pilates & Physical Therapy Introduce
In the bustling Washington region, where health and wellness options are abundant, Blossom Pilates & Physical Therapy in Kenmore offers a truly distinctive and effective approach. This is not a typical large-scale gym or a generic clinic; it is a specialized, women-owned studio that seamlessly integrates the mindful movement of Pilates with the clinical expertise of physical therapy. The philosophy at Blossom is centered on a holistic view of the body, recognizing that lasting strength and pain relief come from a deep understanding of movement patterns. Dr. Heidi, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) who is also a certified Pilates instructor, leads the practice with a rare combination of clinical knowledge and hands-on teaching experience. This dual expertise allows her to provide a level of care that is both highly technical and deeply intuitive. The studio's mission is to offer a different kind of therapy experience, one where clients feel empowered and in charge of their own care. The environment is designed to be a supportive and inclusive space, particularly for the LGBTQ+ community, and is recognized as a transgender safespace. This commitment to inclusivity ensures that everyone who walks through the door feels seen, heard, and safe. The studio focuses on semi-private and private sessions, which allows for a high degree of personalized attention, ensuring that exercises are perfectly adapted to each individual's needs and capabilities.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been attending Dr. Heidi's semi-private Pilates classes for the past 10 months and it has been the BEST investment in my body. Here are a few reasons why:1. I have grown stronger and have reduced back and hip pain thanks to weekly Pilates.2. Heidi's instruction is kind, detailed, and adaptable based on each student's capabilities. Plus, her classes are fun! Every week we do something a little different. :)3. Heidi has also gone above and beyond to recommend providers for a foot concern I've been managing. Even when providers have dismissed my concerns, Heidi has taken them seriously. The studio space is light and modern, and there is plenty of parking. Semi-private classes have a maximum of three students, so everyone gets plenty of attention (and the fellow students are great as well!). I go through phases with my workouts, but Pilates has stuck thanks to the benefits I've experienced. I highly recommend Heidi and team's expertise to anyone looking to practice pilates in a supportive environment.
May 28 · Kayla BlytonI was delighted to have found Heidi: having a Pilates instructor who is also a DPT is such a rare combination. I feel like I am in very safe hands. Heidi always watches my form and suggests adjustments as necessary. Despite having multiple orthopedic issues, Pilates workouts are now fun again, and I can see progress week by week with how my body responds and how I can advance the exercises. I would not hesitate to recommend Heidi - she is able to tailor exercises and give advice for even the most difficult cases while encouraging you to listen to your body.
January 09 · C SmithDr. Heidi is observant and a careful listener, which is important to me as a seven year shoulder patient with three ortho surgeries under my belt. I feel confident in her Pilates instruction because her skills as a PT remain present in the background—This is a great ‘next step’ after recovery from a reverse total shoulder replacement—Dr. Heidi is knowledgeable about what that entails and has been building the sessions around that specific situation. Highly recommend!
September 21 · Beth HayesBlossom Pilates is a wonderful place to practice Pilates! I've taken Pilates classes for over a decade and have had several teachers. Heidi, Vera, and Nolan are kind, knowledgeable, and inclusive of all bodies. If you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, this is the place for you!
October 17 · Nicole PartridgeIf you are new to Pilates or have been practicing Pilates for years, if you are healthy or are injured, Vera will meet your needs. She has the knowledge and experience to create countless workouts to meet people where they are and help them to become stronger, all while having fun.A year ago, I cracked a rib and was in considerable discomfort, especially when I moved. I didn’t want to lose strength during my recovery. Several people told me it wouldn’t be possible to continue with Pilates during my recovery. Vera saw how motivated I was and accepted the challenge. She created workouts tailored to my needs and limitations that were increasingly challenging as my recovery progressed and which did not cause pain. In fact, each week I left the studio feeling better than when I entered.Vera encourages and affirms each of her clients. Her ever cheerful personality brightens the gloomiest of Seattle’s gray, winter days.
