When considering a gym in the New York area, especially in a bustling community like Yonkers, it's essential to understand what makes a particular location stand out. Blink Fitness Yonkers has several qualities that make it a compelling choice for many fitness enthusiasts.
First and foremost, the variety of services offered is a major draw. With options ranging from personal training and private lessons to group classes like aerobics and cycling, members have the flexibility to tailor their workouts to their specific goals. The extensive selection of equipment for strength training, resistance training, and functional exercises means that whether you're focused on cardio, building muscle, or improving overall fitness, you'll likely find what you need here.
The gym’s commitment to an inclusive and friendly atmosphere is another significant factor. Creating a space that is a transgender safe space and LGBTQ+ friendly means that the gym aims to be a welcoming place for a diverse range of people. This focus on mood and environment can make a substantial difference in a member's experience, helping them feel more motivated and comfortable in their fitness routine.
Convenience and accessibility are also key selling points. The location at 8000 Mall Walk is easy to get to for many in the region. The amenities like Wi-Fi and restrooms are standard but essential. While the availability of showers is a useful feature, some member feedback suggests that the maintenance of these areas can be inconsistent. It is always wise to be prepared and carry your own hygiene products, as some reviews mention issues with cleanliness and supplies in these specific areas.
It's important for potential members to consider all aspects, including feedback from current and past users. While some reviews praise the friendly staff and the peaceful workout environment, others point to concerns regarding the cleanliness and maintenance of certain facilities, particularly the restrooms and showers. The equipment selection is generally considered good, though some feedback suggests there could be more variety in dumbbells and specific machines. The air circulation in some areas has also been a point of contention for some members.
The management's role in addressing these issues is a key consideration. A gym's reputation is built not only on its equipment but on its commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for its members. The staff are frequently described as helpful and friendly, which is a big plus, but the overall member experience is a combination of many factors.
In conclusion, Blink Fitness Yonkers is a gym with many strengths, including a wide range of services, a strong focus on inclusivity, and a friendly staff. Its accessible location and diverse workout options make it a solid choice for many in the New York area. When making your decision, it's recommended to visit the location yourself to get a personal feel for the atmosphere and facilities, weighing the positive aspects against the reported maintenance issues to determine if it aligns with your personal expectations and needs for a fitness center.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Blink Fitness in Yonkers is excellent! I visit several times a week and enjoy my workouts in a peaceful environment. They have top-notch machines, and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
August 14 · MoeI'd give it a -2 if possible the gym equipment, and people attending the gym and staff are ok but I don't know if it's management or housekeeping or probably both, more than likely mostly management because the bathroom is the dirtiest and most smelly disgusting place on earth equivalent to a sanitation public bathroom. These pictures show the horrific disgusting showers they smell like garbage the third stall has still water by the drain as you can see in the pictures. The showers all of them have mold and mildew if you look the soap dispenser is broken I went to take a shower and there was a used bar of soap stuck inside the dispenser. As for the first stall the dispenser is completely broken off, the second stall it's missing the top piece and soap.I was too afraid to venture in and wash in another stall but the second one. I brought my own body wash. The curtains are moldy and you definitely don't want the curtain to accidentally touch your body it's skeevie. The walls inside are moldy and have old splashed dry soap all over them and the soap dish has remnants of caked up soap in them. You can see the urinals and discolored urine on the floors on the toilet both the urinal and toilet. The sinks are disgusting splashed water every just in to sitting on the sink. It smells like mildew stinky and filthy on there it's like they say "hey they're men they didn't care how it smells when they wash" .... Need flash we do if this is where my dues are going man on outta here I've only encountered two other gyms in NYC like this and I left had review as well. These places don't care about it's members of they did the place to clean up would be clean and be sanitary to actually use without fear of staph infection. If management cared they get the housekeeping better supplies and the showers would get fixed including the drain that doesn't drain the water and it sits still by the stall. All in all the rating for the gym is 3 they could use better equipment and dumbbells selection. The staff 5+The atmosphere is ok people are ummm gym people, like the ac only works in the front of the facility and not by the equipment. Feels like you're breathing in hot air when you're doing cardio and lifting in general. The circulation is POOR. Very!!! Housekeeping is-2 can't be all their fault because they can only do what is given and it's clear they aren't given anything because the broken pieces in the bathroom and moldy walls and curtains wouldn't be their fault. The drains just don't work.Sorry this was such a long winded post but I've been meaning to write this review all week and have been swamped with work, but after today's shower I had to make sure it was done. In any case you'll like the gym but just don't try to wash here. The onus falls on the owner and management they aren't addressing no issues like in the gym at all. They should just sell it or fire themselves. Give someone a chance to run it and maybe address the issues.Just went back this morning 8/23 open the locker guess what I see?? Bugs ....yep roaches in the locker. That's it !! I'm done I will be looking for another gym this one has jumped the shark. They clearly don't care here and it's beyond dirty. DISGUSTING!!!
August 23 · Gindekhal JenkinsThis gym has gone down hill because of the new management. They’re disrespectful to members and to their hard working staff, rude, confrontational and frankly incompetent. They make their staff clean necessary equipment during peak hours so there are fewer and fewer machines to use. I don’t recommend anyone come to this gym if they like a quiet and respectful environment… a few months ago it was great, now it’s a nightmare.
May 14 · Amanda McCollumHere's my take. I went there before Covid and it was a different setup before they've moved everything around; after. But I still enjoyed the gym overall. Now every gym have their issues; whether it may be overcrowding, staff attitude, broken machines, and more as everyone can assume. In my opinion, I actually believe the X County location is a solid spot to do your basic workouts; if you focus and actually work out.I actually like the staff, as they take care of business in my opinion (at least when I go early), because lots of things happen and you have to deal w/ lots of attitudes from customers and arguments that might happen out of nowhere so its a tough job overall.I like the stretch out area to take care of my essential stretch outs and kettle ball training. The middle section of gym leaves more to desire as I wish there were more machines hitting different parts of the body but you have to consider the tight real estate they have to work with. The dumbbell section is solid and usually I get my weights that I'm seeking pretty conveniently. Now the cardio area needs to be improved. I went to another location and it had newer machines for cardio and a much bigger space to breath.Every gym has their limitations but that is probably my biggest issue in terms of the access. Now to sum up my bigger issues; the bathroom I wish was kept a bit cleaner but most gyms go thru this unfortunately.Next, would be overcrowding within a tight section with people doing circuits of 2-3 pp to a machine is not good for other people in gaining access. Last, I would say are *some of the people. Often times, you'll notice because it's there but people like to joke around too much taking up time for others to get access; they like to spread rumors about other folks even if it's untrue but they worry about social than focus on working out as many folks esp have work and other things to do for the day. Quite a few people look to hookup and judge people's looks in my opinion a bit too often from what you hear passing by, while others may show off a bit too much in my opinion. It's okay in a way to meet up outside the gym but that wouldn't be the avenue most should take as it usually ends terribly (social media will tell you) and the gym should be used to workout only with some aspects of a small talk before getting back to training. But overall, I think the gym is pretty good compared to others unless you're willing to spend more than double somewhere else.
July 18 · J AlanCanceling my membership. The new manager was unfriendly and aggressive during our first interaction. I was denied entry to the gym on Tuesday (5/6/25) for not having my ID, despite having no issues the day before. The desk staff said my photo wasn’t showing and asked for ID, even though I provided one and had my picture taken when I joined nearly a year ago. The manager then inserted herself into the conversation and spoke to me as if I were a criminal for not having my ID or a picture of it. While I understand the policy may not have been enforced by previous management (her words), her tone and lack of courtesy were unacceptable. I plan to complete my personal training sessions with Phil, who has been fantastic, but after that, I’m done with this gym.
