Beth Kaplan Yoga Introduce
In the heart of Providence, Rhode Island, lies a yoga studio with a unique and deeply personal approach to wellness: Beth Kaplan Yoga. This isn't your typical high-energy, fast-paced studio; instead, it's a sanctuary for those who seek a more mindful, individualized, and therapeutic practice. Beth Kaplan, a certified Yoga Therapist, has created a space that prioritizes getting you back in touch with your body in a gentle, down-to-earth manner. The studio's philosophy centers on the idea that yoga is a tool for self-discovery and maintenance, particularly as we navigate the inevitable process of aging. It's a place where every movement is thoughtful and purposeful, designed to help you listen to your body's wisdom and find better ways to move with ease and grace. For Rhode Island residents looking for a low-stress, highly-personalized yoga experience, Beth Kaplan Yoga offers a refreshingly honest and effective alternative. This focus on individual needs is what sets the studio apart, making it a true asset to the local wellness community.
The studio's dedication to an individualized approach is a central pillar of its identity. Beth doesn't follow a rigid script; instead, she adapts each session to the needs and requests of the attendees, ensuring that everyone in the class feels seen and supported. One reviewer noted that each class is "a little different," and that Beth "responds to needs/requests of the attendees." This responsive and creative teaching style means you'll always leave having learned "something helpful and new," as another client mentioned. The sessions are designed to be stress-free and to flow naturally, fostering an environment where students can relax and focus on their bodies without any drama or pressure. Beth's expertise as a Certified Yoga Therapist is a significant advantage, allowing her to work with people who have chronic pain, injuries, or long-term conditions. The focus is not just on the poses, but on the underlying movement patterns that can cause tension and strain. By addressing these core issues, the practice helps clients regain a sense of comfort and control in their bodies. This makes the studio particularly well-suited for those who may have felt intimidated by more conventional yoga studios and are looking for a safer, more sustainable way to move and feel better.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve known Beth for quite a while (let’s just say it was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away) but not because of anything yoga-related, so I didn’t really know what to expect when I signed up for her class. She takes an eclectic, individualized approach to yoga; the techniques she uses are focused on getting you back in touch with your body and getting you thinking of better ways to maintain it as you, along with everyone else, get older. (Aging can’t be avoided, but there are better ways of dealing with it than just letting it happen!) Beth has a gentle, down to earth, no-drama approach to yoga that makes the sessions flow naturally and stress-free. Highly recommended.
August 14 · Wes EichenwaldI have been attending Beth's classes for a few years almost every week. Each class is a little different as Beth responds to needs/requests of the attendees. She is alway sensitive and creative and shares little things we can do to address some of our physical concerns that week through yoga. I leave learning something helpful and new and I enjoy the community of participants.
March 05 · Suzanne McCarthyBeth is fabulous— she has helped me so much in dealing with pain and stiffness. She is very knowledgeable and caring — her classes are paced so that each person can do whatever they are comfortable doing without judgement. Her private sessions are a valuable source of information — she helps you understand how to work with your body instead of against it. I can’t say enough about how much Beth has helped me. She is a godsend.
September 22 · Jari GeorgiaHighly recommended! Beth helped me get motivated after some lingering pandemic lethargy. Thoughtful and friendly sessions that focus on slow and meditative movements. Especially good for easing back into a regular exercise routine, and dealing with pain issues.
September 15 · Julie KantnerA wonderful class; so thoughtfully designed and executed. Beth helps you connect to your own body and also connect your body and self to others and the world. Relaxing and invigorating all at once. A very special experience.
