For New Yorkers who are serious about their fitness and thrive on high-energy, results-driven workouts, Barry's has long been an iconic name. The opening of its Williamsburg studio on Driggs Avenue has brought this global phenomenon to one of Brooklyn's most vibrant neighborhoods. Barry's is more than a gym; it's a meticulously crafted fitness experience designed to challenge your body and push your limits. This article offers a comprehensive and factual overview of what makes Barry's Williamsburg a top-tier choice for locals, from its signature workout and state-of-the-art facilities to its expert instructors and unique amenities, all written with the perspective of a New York-based user in mind.
The core of the Barry's experience is its signature high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class, often referred to as "the best workout in the world." Each 50-minute session is split between high-intensity cardio on the treadmill and strength training on the floor, all set in the brand's dimly lit "Red Room" with energetic music. This scientifically-backed methodology is designed to help your body burn a significant number of calories and maximize fat loss. What sets Barry's apart is its daily muscle focus, which ensures a safe and consistent training routine by targeting a different muscle group each day. The workouts are known for their challenging nature, but instructors are highly experienced and provide a supportive environment. The instructors are a huge draw, with one review mentioning, "shoutout to Sasha, Ben and Oscar! Def recommend!" The Williamsburg studio stands out with a unique addition: a "designated stretch area" equipped with Theraguns, a feature not commonly seen at other Barry's locations. This thoughtful touch demonstrates the studio's commitment to both the workout and the recovery process. The "new and nice" equipment and a wide range of weight options cater to a wide range of fitness levels, from newcomers to seasoned gym-goers.
Barry's Williamsburg is conveniently located at 510 Driggs Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211, USA, placing it in a prime spot within this bustling neighborhood. The studio is easily accessible for a large portion of the Brooklyn community and those commuting from Manhattan. For those who rely on public transportation, the gym is just a short walk from the Bedford Avenue L train station, a major hub that connects to several key Manhattan subway lines. Its strategic location makes it simple to fit a high-intensity workout into a busy schedule. The facility's commitment to accessibility is evident with its wheelchair-accessible entrance. While the main area is "pretty spacious," the waiting area is noted to be a bit awkward, a minor detail that speaks to the high foot traffic the studio attracts. The location's ease of access and its presence in a vibrant, well-known part of Williamsburg make it a popular and practical choice for fitness enthusiasts in the area.

Barry's Williamsburg Reviews
Pretty good place! Very wide range of weight options! Everything nice and new smell, instructors are pretty experienced too. Male bathroom is slightly small but okay to use. Recommend!
July 10 · Qi WuThis is a great studio! The main area is pretty spacious (although the location of the two chairs makes it a bit awkward of a waiting area) and there is even a side area for stretching and Theraguns. I've never seen a designated stretch area at a Barry's before so that's a unique add. Locker rooms are a pretty nice size and everything is really clean. The staff are all very nice and they have great instructors (shoutout to Sasha, Ben and Oscar!). Def recommend!
